Sally Singer is Leaving Vogue
Sally Singer, Vogue Magazine’s digital creative director, is leaving the publication after nearly 20 years. Singer joined the magazine in 1999 working her way up to fashion features-news director before she took a two-year break editing T: The New York Times Style Magazine from 2010–2012 and returned as her recently-departed position. She will be partially replaced by Stuart Emmrich in a newly created role of editor where he will oversee all of Vogue’s digital content and report directly to Anna Wintour. About the departure, Wintour in a statement to staffers said, “She’s ready for a change and as sad as I am as a colleague and as a friend to lose her, I am so excited to see what she does next.” [WWD]
Versace Resort 2021 Show is Coming to America
Versace‘s resort 2021 show will take place somewhere in the States but apparently not in New York, the brand has disclosed. Last December, Versace’s pre-fall 2019 collection in NYC was a sciniitlting notch on its belt of globetrotting but no word on where Donatella Versace and her motley model crew will be popping up next. Centric Brands Buys Zac Posen Trademark
The Zac Posen trademark has been sold to Centric Brands, closely following the designer’s November announcement that the brand was shuttering. According to WWD, Posen is discussing the details of his role with regards to the acquisition. Posen launched his eponymous line in 2001. [WWD]
Preliminary NYFW Calendar Includes Rodarte
An early calendar for February’s New York Fashion Week was released by the CFDA and it (drumroll) includes Rodarte. The Los Angeles-based brand last showed in September of 2018 to much ado and fanfare. The Kate and Laura Mulleavy-created brand’s showing may help ease those who were disappointed by Tom Ford‘s announcement last week that he was to show in Los Angeles to coincide with the Oscars.
