Historically, Simon Porte Jacquemus must think that all anyone wants is endless coastal holidays. Well finally someone with some sense––the man is right. “La Riviera” he called it and there wasn’t a look that wasn’t heady and holiday ready for his Jacquemus Spring Summer 2019 collection. This time, Jacquemus laid his runway down on the backyard of the well-groomed Italian Embassy in Paris’ 7th district. Its signifigance? One usually just needs to look at his ‘gram (though you may die of envy) to pin the trip where he drew inspo and Simon was just hammocking in Canneto, a village in Sicily and exploring the Scala dei Turchi–so. Girls like Imaan Hammam (above), Aira Ferreira (below), Ellen Rosa (below), Valery Kaufman (below), Aymeline Valade, Cindy Bruna , Edie Campbell and others walked wearing strappy, slinky things all in his signature colors toting either precious miniature bags or ginormous ones like the one Oumie Jammeh gracefully lugged. A bonus balcony wave moment is mood.
