I&#8217;ve always been interested in photography and creative projects, and over time, people started encouraging me to model. I liked the idea of becoming part of the creative process from the other side of the camera, so I decided to give it a try.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2014 Can you tell us about your happiest childhood memory?<\/strong><br \/>\nMy friends and I figured out how to climb onto the roof of our school to collect all the balls that landed there. Suddenly, I had more footballs and basketballs than I knew what to do with. Looking back, I&#8217;m still surprised my mom never questioned where they all came from. It was such a simple thing, but it made me incredibly happy at the time and still makes me smile thinking about it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2014 An issue or cause you are passionate about:<\/strong><br \/>\nI believe everyone can make a positive impact on the environment, even through small everyday actions. People called me Sophie from 1996 until 2013, so for a very long time, until I reclaimed my name. Ferrouz means \u2018turquoise\u2019, and it\u2019s the name of a legendary Lebanese singer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2014 An issue or cause you are passionate about:<\/strong><br \/>\nI\u2019m passionate about sustainable fashion. When the Rana Plaza building collapsed, it opened my eyes about the impact of fashion and the way it\u2019s done. I mostly buy vintage and\/or fashion made from small brands that use eco-friendly materials. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2014 Share a bit about your background and upbringing.<\/strong><br \/>\nBorn and raised in France by Algerian parents. I was lucky to have my 4 grandparents around and a very big family. I have 3 sisters and 1 brother. I\u2019m the middle one. I did rhythmic gymnastics and ballet, and I also played the cello for a little bit. Everybody went to music school.
