I used to take pictures of myself with my phone. My elder sister realized my talent, and she told me I could be a model because of my looks. Later I moved to the city of Dar es Salaam for college, and that&#8217;s where I started collaborating with photographers and stylists. I was later discovered by my mother agency Gift Models, and got signed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2014 What are three interesting facts about you?<\/strong><br \/>\n1. I say sorry and thank you to people for no strong reason. And that always makes me get many friends who want to help when I&#8217;ve problems.<br \/>\n2. I like directing music videos. I always enjoy and get inspired by the combination of art done to produce a single meaningful video.<br \/>\n3. I like to see people of different races from different parts of the world working together because I believe they can create something big by sharing their ideas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2014 One thing people may be surprised to find out about you?<\/strong><br \/>\nI wear thrift clothes the most. I went to military school in Gloucester.<br \/>\n2. I lived in Mexico for 8 months instead of doing my senior year of high school in Hawaii.<br \/>\n3. I only own two pairs of shoes. I had three, but my trainers broke.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2014 The most interesting thing about your family:<\/strong><br \/>\nThere&#8217;s a ton of interesting things about my family. I&#8217;m the youngest of five siblings. Half of my family lives in Hawaii, and the other half in London. Be kind and love yourself. <\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2014 How did you become a model?<\/strong><br \/>\nI have always been told to model during my teenage years but never had the courage to do so. One day, I was scouted at the park by the owner of Heffner Management! What made this moment special was that it was at a park that I went to during my childhood with my family almost every week. I stopped going to the park when I moved away from Seattle but decided to go on a random day, and that&#8217;s where I met my agent!<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2014 An issue or cause you are passionate about:<\/strong><br \/>\nAn issue I have is the rise of fast fashion and how it&#8217;s getting worse. Not only is it affecting the environment and filling up the landfill, but there is no work ethic involved in making the clothes. Consumers should try to buy their clothes secondhand and slow down on shopping.
