A lot of people don\u2019t believe me when I say it because I look white, but my grandpa is from Paramaribo, Surinam. Unfortunately, I didn\u2019t grow up with the culture because my grandpa didn\u2019t raise my dad with any of his culture. Now we are trying to stay a little bit connected with the Surinamese culture by cooking foods that are a part of the Surinamese kitchen and learning a bit of the language.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2014 Who is your favorite entertainer?<\/strong><br \/>\nChildish Gambino, AKA Donald Glover, is the renaissance man of our time. He is an actor, producer, writer, director, comedian, rapper\/singer, DJ, and songwriter. He\u2019s one of the most talented people I know and also very inspiring. His music has a huge variety of genres, and I love it all. He was my second most listened-to artist this year on Spotify and also has two spots in my top 5 songs of this year!<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2014 The most interesting thing about your family:<\/strong><br \/>\nMy parents, my sister, and I are super close. We are also all very passionate about music, so we have this thing we call the \u201cSouffl\u00e9\u201d, which is a super big playlist we make every summer and winter. Everyone gets to put around 50 songs in it that they like so that every time we\u2019re together at home or in the car, everyone is happy with the music.
