Somali\/American, born April 4th.<\/p>\n<h4>We Asked:<\/h4>\n<p><em>What are three interesting facts about you?<\/em><br \/>\n&#8220;1. Basketball is my thing. I have a love for basketball, let&#8217;s just say I have a pretty good jump shot. \/ 2. I am bi-lingual, speaking both English and Somali with future hopes of being able to learn many more, especially Spanish. \/ 3. I love making people smile, so I would say I&#8217;m that funny girl in the crowd, hoping to make everyone around me laugh and smile.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><em>What did you Google last?<\/em><br \/>\n&#8220;I&#8217;m a foodie, so it was a place called Hot Juicy Crawfish. Being raised in Maine almost my entire life,  I have a love for seafood, especially crawfish. I do however love a meaty crab leg. So delicious.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><em>What was your most embarrassing moment?<\/em><br \/>\n&#8220;I would say when I use to wear my head hijab almost every day. I went to the beach with my classmates and I went underwater with my hijab. It came off and at that moment I had shorter hair and wasn\u2019t comfortable with anyone seeing it. My teacher found my hijab and I had to put it back on under the water. September 24th.<\/p>\n<h4>We Asked:<\/h4>\n<p><em>What are you interested in that most people haven\u2019t heard of?<\/em><br \/>\n&#8220;I&#8217;ve been\u00a0skimboarding since I was 9. Skimboarding is kinda like surfing but you start off on shore and then you run towards the water, get on your board and slide out to the wave where you turn around and catch the wave back to shore. For the\u00a0last 3 summers, I&#8217;ve volunteered as a skimboard instructor in Florida.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><em>How and when did you become a model?<\/em><br \/>\n&#8220;Well, both my grandparents and my parents were models so it&#8217;s been in the family. I realized I wanted to model this summer. So I\u00a0emailed Lind Models and here I am. I was super\u00a0surprised when they replied though, I never thought they would write back and I never thought I would actually get signed.\u00a0&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><em>What\u2019s something you are self-conscious about?<\/em><br \/>\n&#8220;My ears kinda stick out\u00a0a lot, so I\u00a0don&#8217;t like wearing baseball caps. When I was younger I would tuck my ears into the hat but nowadays I just refrain from wearing them.
