born February 1st.<\/p>\n<h4>We Asked:<\/h4>\n<p><em>How and when did you become a model?<\/em><br \/>\n&#8220;I was scouted at Sephora at the mall when I was 15. I had braces at the time, and modeling was totally new to me. Being a model here in Midwest is almost very un-Midwestern. It\u2019s nearly unheard of!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><em>What is one thing people may be surprised to find out about you?<\/em><br \/>\n&#8220;I\u2019m an extreme tomboy\u2014I love sports, and I have a very laid back style. I don\u2019t like wearing pink!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><em>What are your interests\/favorite things?<\/em><br \/>\n&#8220;In school, English is my favorite subject. Writing essays is a fun thing for me, which is a weird thing to say, but it\u2019s true. I love writing. It\u2019s only warm a few months out of the year in Minnesota, so this time of year is the best. In the summer, my friends and I like going to the pool. born May 5th.<\/p>\n<h4>We Asked:<\/h4>\n<p><em>What&#8217;s the most interesting thing about your family? Do you have siblings?<\/em><br \/>\n&#8220;I think it&#8217;s really cool that my family has mixed roots from all over the world. My parents were born in Guyana, and my Mom&#8217;s side of the family can be traced back to China and England whereas my Dad&#8217;s is Portuguese and Native South American. So much diversity in one family means amazing family dinners &#8211; so much variety! I have one older sister and we are really close :)&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><em>What have you learned since you started modelling?<\/em><br \/>\n&#8220;Since I started modelling I&#8217;ve learned a lot about the fashion industry as a whole. It&#8217;s interesting to be part of the creative process, from doing e-comm or seeing what it takes to put a look book together or an entire fashion show from start to finish. I didn&#8217;t even have that much knowledge about different brands before modelling but now I&#8217;ve expanded my wardrobe a bit and even my style has changed. I love checking out vintage shops looking for unique pieces!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><em>How and when did you become a model?<\/em><br \/>\n&#8220;I was scouted by my mother agency, Elite Toronto, while walking in Toronto Men&#8217;s Fashion Week in late 2016. My sister had suggested I give modelling a shot and when the opportunity came I took it.
