Fashion was reflected in my everyday life, by the way that I dressed\u2026 I\u2019ve always been a little different from the others and had a lot of fun playing dress up and creating outfits &#8211; playing with colors. My best friend and I did indeed also play catwalk\u2026 My mom would put books on our heads and teach us how to do it, more out of fun than anything else. The first time that I became aware of the fashion industry was when I was about 10 years old. This was the first and also only time I\u2019ve seen my mother walk a catwalk. She took my brother and me with her to Paris to a Louis Vuitton fashion show. We were allowed backstage and had someone who took care of us. Backstage I met my godmother Naomi [Campbell] for the first time. The whole experience is something that I will never forget; all the people, my mother and Naomi walking, the music etc.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>Nick<\/em>: I don\u2019t think that there was that one thing that made me aware of the fashion industry, as much as that it just always was there. When other children talked about their parents&#8217; jobs it was only my mom&#8217;s job, nothing special at that time. Of course, I recall events that showed me more about the fashion industry, that gave me more insights into what is happening behind the scenes, yet it was always already there.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Is there a story that your mother has told about her days as a model that is a favorite or has stayed with you?<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Cosima<\/em>: She told us a lot of stories. I can\u2019t really recall one memory specifically. It\u2019s more a general feeling that evolved from her tellings. There we would do a lot of outside activities and in general, spend a lot of time together. I remember how he and I would lay in bed in the afternoon, we always rebelled like crazy against the afternoon nap\u2026 So we would play a lot, and he would tell me the coolest stories, which he spontaneously made up\u2026 And in the end, we did fall asleep.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>Nick<\/em>: There was this one time we were in an amusement park with our grandparents. Obviously, I was a tough boy who wasn\u2019t scared of the rollercoasters at all, so I told my sister that we should go on one. I was hoping she\u2019d say no and that I\u2019d be the cool guy who would have went if it wasn\u2019t for his sister. But then she said yes, and I was scared as hell. The ride in front of us got stuck in a loop, therefore it closed for a while until it was fixed. What do you argue about now?<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Cosima<\/em>: I believe that we mostly argued about who has to do what. Such as: \u201cbut why do I have to clean out the dishwasher, it was my turn yesterday, I do so much more than Nici!\u201d So our biggest arguments\/ topics were about avoiding work and getting the other to do it instead.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>Nick<\/em>: My sister is an extremely clean and organised person, she literally broke into my room at night because she couldn\u2019t sleep knowing that the room next to hers is not tidy. I don\u2019t know how it\u2019s possible, but as clean and organised as she is, I am not. Even though I\u2019m 9cm smaller than her, I still have the same body. For my height, my legs are long and I have a thin body structure &#8211; long features in general. I have the same hair color as my mom. My face is a mixture of my dad and my mother. I did not get her freckles, I have a spotless face which I believe I inherited from my father. Also the shape of my face, eyebrows, nose, and lips I have inherited from my dad\u2026<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>Nick<\/em>: Well, a character trait which I have inherited from my parents would definitely be the whole sarcastic and provocative thing. Physically I think my face is quite similar to my mom&#8217;s.
