How discovered:<\/strong>
\nMy friend was scouted out shopping for a competition, Next Hot Model UK, and I went with him to the competition because we\u2019re friends and we just thought it would be good fun. Then I got scouted there. I was there anyway and it was the start of summer and I was like, \u201cYou know what, let\u2019s do it.\u201d We did the competition. It was good practice\u2014you had to walk on a runway and everything. My friend came third and I didn\u2019t place. Two weeks later, I did the Burberry show. It was very sudden.<\/p>\n

Favorite things:<\/strong>
\nI love traveling. Traveling\u2019s amazing and this job is the best way to do that. I love my dog. I\u2019ve a cockapoodle, she\u2019s about guinea pig size. Her\u2019s name\u2019s Suzy.<\/p>\n

Favorite place that you\u2019ve visited:<\/strong>
\nThailand. I went on a family holiday to Koh Samui. If you\u2019ve never been, go to Koh Samui. There\u2019s a lot of islands to visit there, though. If I went back I probably wouldn\u2019t go there, I\u2019d go to Krabi or somewhere. There\u2019s lots of place to go.<\/p>\n

What are you listening to at the moment?<\/strong>
\nI listen to most things. I like reading more than listening to music. Music\u2019s such a broad thing, you can\u2019t just sit and listen to one thing over and over.<\/p>\n

What are you reading at the moment?<\/strong>
\nRight now, I\u2019m reading The Lord of the Rings, the second one. I\u2019ve read it once before but it was so big and I sort of left the book at home when I was traveling and I just forgot to pick it back up so now I\u2019m just picking it back up. It\u2019s insane though, I love that book.<\/p>\n

Favorite movie, tv show:<\/strong>
\nTV show, it\u2019s got to be Friends. I know you say, because you\u2019re American, Brits aren\u2019t over Friends, but it is really, really good. I also like Family Guy. Film, Good Will Hunting\u2019s amazing. It really is a good film.<\/p>\n

Favorite designer, fragrance or beauty product:<\/strong>
\nI really like this old Burberry fragrance, it smells so good. Favorite designer, that\u2019s got to be Alessandro at Gucci, isn\u2019t it? I did the second season after he took over and his designs are brilliant. He\u2019s really good and the whole team, they work really hard all together. They\u2019re really good people. I haven\u2019t been to the new offices yet but I\u2019m sure it\u2019ll be cool. They love to gold it up and stuff. He\u2019s so busy, he does everything.<\/p>\n

What were you doing before you started modeling?<\/strong>
\nI was at university in Swansea, Wales, near where I was born. I was doing mechanical engineering. I dropped out in the end to do this. I\u2019d have another two years.<\/p>\n

What would you be doing if you weren’t modeling?<\/strong>
\nI\u2019d prefer, rather than going back to university or anything, to go down more of a creative route. I think I\u2019m really interested in photography. I know a lot of models always go into acting or something, I kind of don\u2019t see myself as that. Photography\u2019s great. It\u2019s really interesting being able to do it. I\u2019ve got my own camera now. I\u2019ve only just started, but it is an idea I had. I\u2019ll give it a crack.<\/p>\n

What’s something uncool that you love anyway?<\/strong>
\nI really like Minecraft, it\u2019s awesome, and X-Box games. It\u2019s not the coolest thing to do. I spend a little bit of time on it. If someone\u2019s watching a TV show, I just play X-Box instead. I don\u2019t sit on it all day. Also, I read two or three of the Twilight series because my sister forced me to do it because she\u2019s a girl, and I just listened to her and I read some and I just cried. It was so bad.<\/p>\n

First modeling experience?<\/strong>
\nThat was the Burberry show. It was a different world, the biggest show in London. For the castings and everything leading up to it, I went to three or four, five castings before it, because you meet one person and then you get another level up and then eventually you meet Christopher Bailey. I didn\u2019t know what Burberry was. I\u2019d never heard of Burberry and then I just went to my family like, \u201cYeah I\u2019m doing a show for Burberry,\u201d and my sister was like, \u201cOh my god!\u201d When I saw the stage when I walked up there, that was mad because it was just out of this world. It was just a different level. I\u2019m never in the spotlight and then all of a sudden chucked onto a runway with loads of people watching you, it was exciting.<\/p>\n

Favorite modeling experience so far?<\/strong>
\nThere\u2019s so many different things, because you meet so many different people and you get to travel to different places, again going back to the traveling. All the shows stand out to me, because there\u2019s always that buzz before. You get the early call times, but you also, whenever the show is, it doesn\u2019t matter, there\u2019s always the little fuzzy feeling.<\/p>\n

What’s the best thing about your hometown\/country?<\/strong>
\nWhere I live, it\u2019s in the middle of nowhere. There\u2019s one bus every two hours. I like the peace and quiet of where I live. That\u2019s why I wouldn\u2019t want to live in London, because it\u2019s a bit too busy for me. I prefer the countryside.<\/p>\n

Which brand would you really love to model for?<\/strong>
\nCoach. I really love their clothes and the fragrances smell nice.<\/p>\n

Place you would love to visit:<\/strong>
\nIndonesia. My brother was there for his gap year and he said it was incredible and I\u2019d love to go there. Vietnam as well, that sounds really fun. Asia in general sounds the best to me.<\/p>\n

Currently you’re obsessed with\/about:<\/strong>
\nDr. Pepper. They don\u2019t have it anywhere else except America. Your Dr. Pepper\u2019s actually better because it\u2019s sweeter. In Europe, they don\u2019t have it.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s the most difficult thing about modeling?<\/strong>
\nLanguages, not being able to speak. I did French, but I didn\u2019t really find it useful because I did not want to have anything to do with it, but now it turns out I travel to Paris so I probably should\u2019ve stuck with it. I\u2019m really looking into doing Italian. I love Italian, it\u2019s such a beautiful language. I\u2019m picking it up a little bit.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s the most surprising thing about the industry?<\/strong>
\nI thought more people would be up themselves. I thought more people would be self-obsessed, but everyone\u2019s so normal. Everyone\u2019s so down to earth and you just get chatting and you make a lot of friends. It\u2019s a really good industry to be in, really.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s the best piece of advice you\u2019ve ever been given?<\/strong>
\nMy dad told me to always plan for the future because no one plans your future for you, so you just need to make your own path. You just need to wake up every day and think about that.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
