I was walking down the road in Double Bay, Sydney, and I got approached by the head booker of a local agency… I ran home and explained what happened to my parents and they looked into the idea of me becoming a model, they were happy for me to pursue this career, obviously after school had finished aged 16! I was mentored by David Conway and now represented and managed by him and the team at Kult Australia.

Favorite things:
I have a huge passion for the ocean so surfing was a big part of my childhood and still is went hand in hand with that since a kid, definitely can’t live without the salt water. If I’m not surfing I love to swim and keep active especially in the water!

What are you listening to at the moment?
I just came from LA and everywhere you go is rap or hip hop so I was introduced to a style called grime. It’s a different take on rap, it’s cool. So Stormzy a British rapper has been on repeat ever since then.

Favorite movie, tv show:
Bit of a throwback here but I just got into the TV series Friends and have been addicted lol … easy to watch and funny. Even though everyone has seen it to death it’s a new thing to me.

Favorite designer, fragrance or beauty product:
admire the work of Oliver Rousteing his collections for Balmain are insane… His obsession with gold and black suit my style! He actually recently did a shoe collab with Nike and it looks dope.

What would you be doing if you weren’t modeling?
I used to be into my rowing throughout school and rowed at an elite level so I would say rowing for a university somewhere around the world … As for a degree at that university I have no idea, something creative…

What’s something uncool that you love anyway?
Haha that’s an easy one … I love denim overalls but they have to be white or black I always end up wearing them at festivals back home or something. They are beyond uncool, in Australia we call them “daggy”, but that’s why I love them.

Favorite modeling experience so far?
Best experience with modelling would have to be the constant travel around the world … Every job, every city brings new adventures and experiences, definitely one of the biggest perks of this job.

What’s the best thing about your hometown/country?
Australia is just so stunning – the vibe, the lifestyle, nature and most importantly I’ve got my friends and family there. When I am in the country I enjoy just laying on the beach to start my morning and seeing all my local crew, it’s nice to travel the world and come home to a place that I love … there’s not one specific thing, I just absolutely love this place.

Which brand would you really love to model for?
I would love to work with Tom Ford for sure, brand is powerful, I love the clothes and campaigns are incredible.

Place you would love to visit:
I have always wanted to go to Tahiti for as long as I can remember… Something about getting lost on an island surrounded by amazing water and tropical weather has me hooked on the idea!

Currently you’re obsessed with/about:
Currently obsessed with Paris… I landed yesterday and the city is amazing! Great vibes and cool bars… I am a fan for sure.

Sydneysider Zach, 19, is into surfing, Friends, and grime.
