Did you always want to be a model?
It’s probably the last job I would have thought of taking, actually. I was about to step into the Galeries Lafayettes mall with my girlfriend, and a scout came up to me and gave me his card. I had been scouted before, but this time, I decided to give it a chance, and months later, a billboard of my face was just above where I had been scouted. And now it’s sort of a running joke that I paid the scout to make me look good in front of my girlfriend.

Most memorable modeling experience so far?
I can’t choose between the Margiela Haute Couture show and the Gucci Twinsburg show. Margiela, for me, is the reason I am in the fashion world, so I was honoured to play a character in such a unique show. On the other hand, the Gucci show had all of us models teary-eyed, and I think working with your twin is always an interesting experience.

One song you have on repeat, and why?
Midnight Sun by Nilüfer Yanya. It’s a beautiful song from one of the best albums this year. Everything from the lyricism down to the instrumentation is perfect.

What other passions do you have aside from modeling?
Fashion design, writing, philosophy, and just about anything creative: painting, drawing, photography, architecture, you name it.

What is something you’ve always wanted to do/try?
Start a farm and spend my days peacefully in the countryside.

What’s one thing people may be surprised to find out about you?
I had to ask a third party for this, and they told me: ‘That you’re friendly’. I see their point. I’ve been told that I have such a cold face, and I do like to dress in black, so when I start talking to people and giving out hugs, they’re always taken aback.

What change would you like to see in the world?
If I had to choose one, it would be eliminating discrimination. It’s at the root of so many problems that its disappearance would resolve plenty of other issues. It’s something we should all fight for.
