How discovered:
I was discovered at the Miss of Poland contest in 2015, back then, as a size zero model. A year and a half ago, I got a call from a booker whom I had met by accident while accompanying a friend to a casting years earlier, proposing to return to the business as a curvy.
Best modeling experience so far?
Definitely closing the Valentino Haute Couture show this year. It was my debut and the most beautiful show I have ever seen featuring all bodies. It was my first big job, and I passed there amazing models that I have admired for years, the icons and Jill Kortleve, whom I (probably in a cheesy way) thanked for inspiring me. Also, nobody had officially told me that I was closing the show and when I found out, I couldn’t cry because my make-up was ready! I remember Pierpaolo kissing me on the cheek and thanking everyone involved in the creation of the collection, and then I felt that I would like to work with such beautiful souls who are like family and celebrate creativity and each one individually.
Currently you’re obsessed with/about:
Honestly, I will sound extremely boring, but I have been writing my dissertation in recent months, and now I am excited to come back to life, see friends, paint and work because I fulfill myself in this job. I also obsessively have to see jellyfish… I don’t know what’s going on, but I feel it’s a must.
What is something you’ve always wanted to do/try?
My bucket list is quite long. One of my dreams is about to come true, and I will go to New York soon. In short: eat sushi in Japan, play in a movie, see the Northern Lights, dive with sharks in Australia, and see original paintings of my favorite artist Rene Magritte. I postpone the space flight for later.
How do you want to make an impact in the world?
This is also on my bucket list. I just haven’t figured out how to do it yet. I think everything is in small steps. You have to be curious and mindful and be a good person. I heard a few times that I was an inspiration for girls of my size and that they felt better with their bodies seeing me in campaigns… maybe it’s a small impact that I have made so far, but it makes me very happy and grateful. I just want to be remembered as a decent person with good energy that you want to spend time with.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
You’re thinking too much, just do your thing.
