Place of Origin:
Johannesburg, South Africa

Ethnic Origin:
The best way to describe myself is that I’m a walking liquorice all sort because I really have a bit of everything: Greek, Spanish, Portuguese, German and French!

Birthsign:
Scorpio – but don’t run just yet, promise I’m nice haha!

How discovered:
I have been scouted several times but decided to pursue my dreams of studying. After I graduated I just had an extremely strong gut feeling to knock (quite literally) on my mother agency’s (at the time) door. Boy, was I right, as within 24 hours a scout working with Elite Worldwide scouted me and within the next month I was jet-setting off to Paris.

What was your first modeling job?
My exclusive for Louis Vuitton SS17. It was honestly the most exciting experience.

Favorite things:
I’m really free-spirited so I would have to say any sort of adventure! I have such travel lust and a yearning to understand, experience and emerge with different people’s cultures and histories.

What are you listening to at the moment?
Really into guitar greats like Santana and Guns N Roses at the moment! Of course, God’s Plan by Drake is top of the list too.

Favorite movie, tv show:
I don’t really watch TV – I prefer reading. But I really love Game of Thrones and it’s about the only series I’m watching.

Favorite designer, fragrance or beauty product:
I really love Guilty by Gucci and my beauty secret is really just to wear less makeup and use more natural oils and products to keep my skin radiant.

What were you doing before modeling?
I was studying a triple major at the University of Cape Town, which is why I didn’t model any sooner. I’ve always placed a huge emphasis on my education. I was a bit of a nerd though and actually graduated on the Dean’s List with distinction.

What would you be doing if you weren’t modeling?
Perhaps use my degree, but also I believe that the world is my oyster and I will just have to see the opportunities this exciting journey presents me with and take it from there!

What’s something uncool that you love anyway?
My friends coined the weird things I do that make me unique as “Alexisms” and well they can sometimes be very uncool and totally involuntary. Like some of my dance moves ahaha. But at least I truly dance like nobody is watching!

Favorite modeling experience so far?
I love every Chanel show I walk. The team behind them is so amazing and close-knit which I love and then, of course, the actual shows blow my mind every time.

What’s the best thing about your hometown/country?
I love nature and Cape Town’s scenery and hikes are like none other. Also, I love my country’s people and energy they bring – it’s so diverse, vibrant and colorful.

Place you would love to visit:
South America is at the top of my list. It’s honestly calling me, I would love to experience it’s beautiful untouched landscapes and I find the cultures so fascinating!

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
Just be you and the right people will love you for it.
