How discovered:
I always had people telling me to model and I put it off. I didn’t really want to at first, then my injuries took me away from sports and I decided to try it out. I sent my pictures into my agency and at first they seemed interested, which kind of surprised me, honestly. Then they wanted pictures and I had to go in. It was just after I was training for football, so I was very big up top and they didn’t really want me at first because I was too muscular. I had to cut down a bit and then took it from there and as I cut down, they definitely liked me a lot more.

Favorite things:
I love snowboarding, it’s a big passion of mine. And surfing, whatever scares me and gets the adrenaline pumping.

What are you listening to at the moment?
I’ve been listening to a lot of electronic music like dubstep. I’ve been pushing more into some older rock like Guns N’ Roses and Jimi Hendrix and that scene and I’m liking that.

Favorite movie, tv show:
My favorite movie is probably Never Back Down.

Favorite designer, fragrance or beauty product:
I like any kind of surf or skating company, like Billabong or Hurley. I’m not really too specific about designers.

What would you be doing if you weren’t modeling?
I would still be in school and hopefully starting my own business. I have a few ideas in mind for patents because I’m studying entrepreneurial business and I really want to do something with that. I’m going to go back next year and finish that up.

What’s something uncool that you love anyway?
I love learning about the brain and neuroscience and learning how every single thing works. It’s very nerdy and geeky, but I love it. It always intrigues me that everything that you make your reality of is what you process through your brain, so once I started realizing that I just became more and more intrigued with it.

Favorite modeling experience so far?
My favorite modeling experience would probably be the first time I went to Los Angeles and Santa Monica. It was such a beautiful area that we were shooting in and it was my first time doing a big trip for modeling, so it really felt like, This is it, I’m actually going to be able to do something with this. It was a ton of fun.

What’s the best thing about your hometown/country?
The ocean and the bay for sure, just the whole beach vibe.

Place you would love to visit:
I’d love to go to Amsterdam for some fun over there.

Currently you’re obsessed with/about:
It would definitely be chocolate and peanut butter together. I’ve been going crazy for chocolate and peanut butter lately.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
Just to have fun with life and not to worry too much. Just have fun and let good things come to you and good things will happen. My dad told me that. He was like, “Do your thing, whatever it may be, do it with hard work and let whatever happens happen.”
