How discovered:
I was discovered in Barcelona when a model girl moved into the apartment I was living in at that time. One day her manager (Hakim Felidj) was visiting her, he saw me and now I’m so happy that he is my manager too!

Favorite things:
Super expensive vintage guitars that I can’t afford and my MacBook Pro, because it has survived being my computer for 5 years now!

Favorite music, band:
My favorite music depends on what I’m doing. Like now I’m listening to Chopin because it makes me focused when I need to answer hard questions like this!

Favorite movie, tv show:
The only movie I have seen several times is The Intouchables and my favorite tv show is White Collar.

Favorite designer, fragrance or beauty product:
When it comes to clothes, perfumes and beauty products I love wearing everything that makes me feel like a rock star and every smell that reminds me of tropical places.

What would you be doing if you weren’t modeling?
Settle down in London, make music for movies or try to get signed with a major music label as an artist

What’s something uncool that you love anyway?
Myself! For a couple of years ago I used to HATE everything about myself. I simply got angry every time I thought of my looks and personality. After fighting against these negative feelings by reading self motivational books, leaving school and heading after my dreams I found out that I was not gaining ANYTHING by criticizing myself all the time. I’m not saying that I only love myself and not my neighbor. It´s more like that situation in an airplane when they ask you to save yourself before you save the other passengers. So therefore I encourage everybody to love themselves even if they think they’re uncool!

Favorite modeling experience so far?
There’s too many good moments to choose from. I guess the whole package is my favorite experience: Doing test shoots, rushing to castings with Google Maps in your left hand and your portfolio in the other and of course doing the shows, hanging around with people that are actually as tall as you!

What’s the best thing about your hometown/country?
My hometown is a small beautiful island called Finnøy filled with 1500 AMAZING people that take care of each other and you’re always surrounded by the ocean!

Which brand would you really love to model for?
PRADA, Gucci and Tommy Hilfiger

Place you would love to visit:
Any place where people would appreciate me for who I am!

Do you have any special skills?
I guess I’m a good actor; when I was younger and went to school I faked a lot off different illnesses to stay home and practice on my guitar. Right now I am in Norway to work with music, doing gigs and recording my first album. I have a demo uploaded on www.soundcloud.com/knutroertveit if anybody is interested to listen
