Red Citizen
Also with: Ford Models Europe

Place of Origin:
Vermont, USA

Ethnic Origin:
A veritable mutt! A little bit of Italian, English, Scottish, Finnish, and who knows what else.

How discovered:
Thought I was being mugged or yelled at by a crazy man at 11 at night walking down the street in NYC… turned out to just be my future agent Dave :)

Favorite things:
The sun, the forest, bodies, smiles from strangers, possibilities, adventure, the himalayas, touch, singing around a bonfire, good beer, and a really good nights sleep!

Favorite music, band:
No real favorites, basically depends on my mood. I do admit to listening to the Akon and Deadmau5 at high volume and popping and locking in my room alone, and I may even sing along to “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy” if my country music-loving sister puts it on.

I adore dancing and moving in general, and if you put a rock wall in front of me I will probably try and climb it. I also snowboard, white water kayak (poorly, but I haven’t drowned yet so that is good), farm (vegetables), and write when I get the chance.

Favorite piece of clothing:
An Etro shirt that my friend Dougie gave to me after he found it in the streets of NYC.

What’s something uncool that you love anyway?
Being really dirty (no, not that way, get your heads out of the gutter!). I am a farmer, so I love to get sweaty and covered in dirt, then go jump in the river to wash it off.

Favorite modeling experience so far?
Just barely had an amazing shoot for 10 Men Magazine in Paris with stylist Hector Castro and photographer Benjamin Lennox. Two hard days of shooting, but stunning photographs and new friends as a result.

What’s the best thing about your hometown/country?
Maple syrup, the forest, rednecks, fresh local food, snow, the natural beauty, and of course, my amazing friends and unparalleled family.

Favorite artist (any kind):
Perhaps Steinbeck? He has a way of crafting simple sentences into unforgettable, powerful, and stunningly gorgeous imagery. He makes words dance.

Place you would love to visit:
I want to go back to India because I am convinced that true magic is commonplace there. I would also love to go to Ethiopia or Mali to live for a bit. Or maybe Alaska to back-country snowboard. Or maybe… so many places!

Currently you’re obsessed with/about:
“Call Your Girlfriend” by Robyn. Don’t judge.

  • harlow

hes awesome and he seems really down to earth :)

  • The regular test shots leave me confused – but the professional ones confirm him.

    • @Robert – A test shot is a professional shot. The ones you are seeing at the beginning are digital polaroids. The ones at the end are test shots.

  • erika

????? Do not see “model” here.

  • r.l

Interesting look and he seems so adventurous, laid back and down to earth.

  • Jane

He is AMAZING. With a great personality too. Seems like a fun and interesting guy. Look forward to seeing more of him :)

  • To my Garment Center friends, give Otto a call for your next male model needs. He walks as good as he looks, and he really is as cool as he seems! Congrats, Otto!

  • Lisa

  • Nice look Otto

    Best of luck

  • adrian

great personality, but i see absolutely nothing in him. so many american models….come on.

  • Thank you Rosie :) <3

  • pri

i can see that this guy is an open minded type, soooooo cool!!!

  • Giah

Such great potential. I hope to see more of him!

  • Nice face but I hate his haircut!

  • N.N.

his hair looks better on the sixth, seventh, and eighth shots. about his career, I think he still could work it out since there’s a potential. ^^

  • I barely look at what they type except for the height. Haha he seems like a really nice guy.

  • andrew

Looking at his other shots on his mother agency’s website, he projects a sense of mystery that remains with you long after you’ve seen one of his shots. I don’t see that too often. I’m constantly in awe of agents who can see that type of potential in people they’ve only passed on the street.

  • b

love the last three pictures. the rest, not so much

  • Sabrina Bella

Clearly with a great agency, as they saw him as a model while just walking down the street. I see the polaroids and think, ordinary boy, nothing special. But holy crap the model shots. Wow. Just amazing.

  • Sabrina Bella

Okay, I just read the whole interview thing. I want to meet you. I am desperate to meet you. Seriously, your personality in regards to mine is perfect. Gah. Please, please come to Vancouver, B.C. and find me! haha Honestly, you sound downright perfect.
