— How did you become a model?
I was noticed at a marketing and design exhibition when I was around 11 or 12. My mom works in marketing, so I was there with her. I honestly thought it was a joke because I wasn’t interested in modeling at all.

— What’s a story your family/friends like to tell about you?
My family says I was a little demon as a child. When I was three, I accidentally locked my mom outside on the balcony in winter because I was too short to open the door again. She had to call my dad to rescue her, haha.

— An issue or cause you are passionate about:
My friend once told me, “Call us ugly to sell us shit,” and I think there’s a lot of truth in it. I hate when companies create insecurities just to sell people the “solution.” I think people should be able to like themselves without constantly being told what to change.

— The most interesting thing about your family:
My father is in the army, so we moved around a lot. The most interesting thing about my family is that whenever someone asks me where I’m from, I actually have to think for a moment. Because of my father’s numerous postings, I’ve had the chance to explore my country, and it has given me the opportunity to meet new people from diverse cultural backgrounds and different walks of life, so in a way, the whole of India feels like home to me.

— What is your biggest irrational fear?
I have never been to the sea, but I have this irrational fear of being eaten alive by a shark. I’d like to visit the ocean once and move past this fear.

— How did you become a model?
I used to play sports in college events, and some students hinted that I should try modeling. I always thought I would end up doing something future-proof for my career, but as a person who always wants to evolve, I decided to give it a chance and apply to agencies. I was surprised to get call-backs from multiple agencies, but ultimately, I decided to sign with Inega.

— Tell us about your hometown.
I am from Kew, East Melbourne, and have been there my entire life. The best thing is that I live next to so many walking paths that are packed with trees and nature. The not-so-good thing is that my neighbor and I have never gotten along, but I hope one day we will.

— Can you tell us about your happiest childhood memory?
Going to Luna Park with my dad and brother in summer 2014, and then he took us out for lunch, and I got a pair of light-up sparkly shoes. Genuinely, when I think about it, I almost cry, it was that perfect.

— If you were to choose a song that symbolizes this current phase of your life, what would it be and why?
An Arc of Doves by Brian Eno and Photograph by Def Leppard. I could not choose between them, so I had to do both. I have not had a day when I haven’t listened to these songs.
