1. I enjoy being in nature more than being in cities, even for longer periods of time.

— An issue or cause you are passionate about:
Sustainability, reducing waste. This was one of the main motivators that led to pursuing a degree in Architecture.

— What’s a story your family/friends like to tell about you?
When I was a toddler, I was accidentally unsupervised for only a few minutes, but that was enough for me to find a way out of the house into the garden’s pond. After minutes passed, my very worried family heard me calling for help. Upon finding me in the pond, they noticed that I had been holding on to a tiny grass stem the whole time, ensuring I didn’t go under.

— How did you become a model?
After I graduated from school, I really wanted to be independent and build my life the way I wanted. At that moment, I was discovered by my mother agency, and for me it was a chance to start traveling, meet new people, and earn money to improve my life and myself.

— Can you tell us about your happiest childhood memory?
My sweetest childhood memory is when I read in a children’s magazine that if you put carrots and potatoes under a tree in the forest, the next day gnomes would take them and give you candy in return. The next day, my grandmother gave us vegetables, and my grandfather and I went into the forest, and the next day, there really were always various sweets and chocolates there. So it became our little summer tradition. Well, when I grew up, I realized that it wasn’t the gnomes, but my grandfather who returned to the forest and put those same sweets.

— What are 3 interesting facts about you?
1. I am very sensitive to various smells. Once, when I got into a taxi in my city, I realized that my friend had most likely been in the same car before. When we checked, it turned out to be true. That’s why one of my favorite hobbies is collecting unusual perfumes.
2. I write with my left hand.
3. At 19, I wanted to try something new for myself and opened a hair salon. It will soon be almost a year since its opening.

— What’s the scariest thing you’ve ever done?
Jumping off a cliff into the ocean. Which is a little ridiculous, because I have thalassophobia (a fear of the sea), so I was basically facing two fears at once. But I love adrenaline, and the mix of being terrified and thrilled at the same time made it one of the most exciting things I’ve ever done. Very on brand for a girl from an island who’s scared of the ocean but can’t stay out of it.

— An issue or cause you are passionate about:
Mental health, especially in Black communities and on my island, where going to therapy or asking for support can still carry a lot of stigma. I really believe that taking care of your mind matters just as much as taking care of your body, and that there should be no shame in reaching out for help. It’s something close to my heart, and I’d love to see the conversation around it keep opening up.

— How did you become a model?
Honestly, by accident! I got scouted in Martinique, but only because my friends wouldn’t stop telling me to DM a model they’d seen on TikTok. I finally sent the message just so they’d leave me alone, and then he passed my videos along to my mother agency. So really, I owe my whole career to my friends being wonderfully annoying.

— How did you become a model?
I got scouted in the city where I was studying at the time: Hasselt, Belgium, during Art Night. It’s an event where, throughout the whole city, you can enjoy artistic initiatives through pop-ups, galleries, and performances. I was heading to the train station to go home and decided last-minute to take a different route. That’s how I ended up bumping into my current modeling agent.

— What’s a favorite book/movie/TV show, and why do you love it?
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Not only is the story heartbreaking, strange, and uncanny, but the cinematography is also incredibly inspiring. The movie makes a lot of complex time jumps and plays with memory and memory loss as visual motifs, making it the kind of movie you’ll want to watch twice.

— If you were to choose a song that symbolizes this current phase of your life, what would it be and why?
Landslide by Fleetwood Mac. It’s a beautifully fragile song that reflects on Stevie Nicks’ struggles with the changes in her life and the uncertainty they bring. I’m at that point in life where I’ve finished my studies and am trying to find my place in the world, often doubting whether I’m making the right decisions. The song is touching, but also consoling because it’s so relatable.
