— Share a bit about your background and upbringing.
I was born in Riga, Latvia, and was adopted at the age of 10. I used to speak 3 languages fluently, but lost 2 of them due to time and lack of upkeep. Since being adopted, I’ve lived in a small suburban town in Massachusetts, United States, attending school and living a pretty normal life. I’ve just moved to New York with some close friends, and I’m very excited about this new chapter in my life.
— If you were to choose a song that symbolizes this current phase of your life, what would it be and why?
Just For Now by Imogen Heap. That song reminds me that any sort of inconvenience, emotional turmoil, or problems life throws my way, that it’s just for now. It doesn’t just apply to this specific phase of my life, but all of it. It makes my current problems seem less intimidating, and if I think about the issues I had in the past, they were “just for now”.
— How did you become a model?
It happened at the most unexpected yet perfect time. My mother agent reached out through social media and asked if I was interested in becoming a model. Naturally, having someone reach out through social media saying “you should model” is skeptical, but she scheduled a Zoom meeting, and I just took a leap of faith, meeting her in Paris and signing with her. What made it meaningful was the timing because I was in a period of my life trying to figure out and decide what to pursue and what I want my life to look like in my 20s.

— How did you become a model?
Back in university, my friends and family practically forced me to audition for a school pageant 😅. I went to the audition, and that’s where I was scouted by my mother agent.
— What are 3 interesting facts about you?
1. Cooked fish and onions are my kryptonite.
2. I’m an aquaphile… even though I can’t swim.
3. Small inconveniences make me cry and stressed 👀
— What is your biggest irrational fear?
CLOWNS!!!! Their faces feel “off,” making it hard to read their expressions… and they’re quite scary.

— What’s a story your family/friends like to tell about you?
In Year 7, I would ride my bike home from school, and every day, this giant buff kangaroo would be in my backyard when I got home. I was so scared of it that I’d wait on the street until 5:30pm when my parents got back.
— Share a bit about your background and upbringing.
I am Taiwanese-Australian, and I grew up in a very strict household in regards to school and getting good grades. But aside from that, my parents didn’t really care what I was up to, so I’d spend a lot of my free time at the skatepark or building tree huts on the mountain behind my house.
— Can you tell us about your happiest childhood memory?
Lizards and reptiles are my favourite animals. On my 14th birthday, I got my pet bearded dragon called Bandit. He was my best friend, and I have never been more excited about anything lol

— Tell us about your hometown.
I was born in Kharkiv, a city in Ukraine. It’s a very green, modern, and large city, and very cool and kind people live there. The only thing that’s currently destroying this city is the war that Russia started.
— If you were to choose a song that symbolizes this current phase of your life, what would it be and why?
If I had to choose a song that symbolizes this current phase of my life, it would be ‘Feel Good Inc.’ by Gorillaz, because I’m just trying to enjoy life and stay positive, but I also pay attention to what’s really happening around me.

— Can you tell us about your happiest childhood memory?
Something I will always remember from my childhood is the Camping crew. It was a group of our close family friends where we would all go camping together in new places. We normally went two or three times a year since before i was 8, so we’re a very close friend group.
— How did you become a model?
When I was 14, my mum entered me in a Tamblyn open competition. I was runner-up in the photography category, which is when I met the amazing staff at Tamblyn and eventually signed with them. Since then, I’ve done some incredible jobs and met some great people.
— If you were to choose a song that symbolizes this current phase of your life, what would it be and why?
Probably something upbeat like ‘Lush Life’ by Zara Larsson, or ‘Wake Me Up’ by Avicii. The first song gives off the energy I want for my travelling year, and the second one has more specific lyrics, such as ‘Hope I get a chance to travel the world, but I don’t have any plans’. I love music, and they both express something I want this year, so it’s hard to pick one.

— An issue or cause you are passionate about:
I think phone addiction is a very real and prominent issue in today’s world. We can all be better about managing our screentime and focus on being more present with the people around us.
— How did you become a model?
My modeling career began as a Cinderella story. In high school, I was out surfing in Newport Beach, California, when, by coincidence, one of the owners of Otto Models was out jogging down the boardwalk. He saw me and scouted me on the spot; the rest is history!
