3. When I was a child, I looked completely different than I do today; most people don’t recognize me anymore.

— Tell us about your hometown.
I was born in Palma de Mallorca. For me, it’s the most beautiful place on earth. There are mountains, flat land, and dream beaches. In summer, every village has traditional festivals, beaches and balmy nights – it’s a wonderful time. Unfortunately, the island has become increasingly crowded in recent years. This is very bad for the environment, and the locals suffer as a result.

— What’s a favorite book/movie/TV show, and why do you love it?
I have to watch Dirty Dancing at least once a month. My family laughs at me for it. I think I was born in the wrong era.

— What’s a favorite book/movie/TV show, and why do you love it?
I’ll admit, I still binge America’s Next Top Model now and then. Back in its prime, it was the show for so many of us, a guilty pleasure that sparked something deeper in me. As a kid, I knew nothing about fashion, but the show’s creativity, drama, and LGBTQ+ acceptance have inspired me. It’s what pushed me into this wild, beautiful world of fashion.

— An issue or cause you are passionate about:
One issue that’s really important to me is human and animal rights. I believe respect, justice, and equality should be a given everywhere – but unfortunately, they aren’t yet. That’s why I inform myself about politics, talk to others about it, and try to act consciously in everyday life, for example, in my consumption or in discussions with friends. It’s important to me that people don’t just look away, but also take a stand.

— What’s a favorite book/movie/TV show, and why do you love it?
One of my favorite series is Anne with an E. I love it because it’s not only heartwarming and touching, but also addresses important topics like feminism, self-discovery, and the courage to be different. I also watched it often with my mom as a child, which was always a little highlight for me.

— An issue or cause you are passionate about:
Mental health is something I’m deeply passionate about. I’ve witnessed people I care about struggle with it, and I know how heavy it can be when there’s no safe space to talk. I believe it’s so important to create environments where people can express themselves without any fear or judgement. Where they feel heard, seen, and supported. Everyone deserves that kind of space.

— What’s an essential part of your daily routine?
An essential part of my daily routine is taking the time to go on hikes/runs in the morning. This has become something that I must do everyday because it helps clear my mind, feel energized, feel grounded and maintains both my physical and mental well-being.

— What’s a favorite book/movie/TV show, and why do you love it?
My favourite tv show is “The 100” because it’s more than survival—it’s about growth, pain, and transformation and underneath all the chaos and war, there’s this bigger story about what it means to evolve. It mirrors real life: messy, emotional, and deeply human.

— Share a bit about your background and upbringing.
I was born in Eritrea and spent the first six years of my life there. Adjusting to life in Germany wasn’t easy — I didn’t speak the language, and I remember being laughed at in school when I tried to speak German. But instead of letting that discourage me, it motivated me to work even harder. Still, I’m very proud of where I come from, and my background is a big part of who I am. I love going back to Eritrea every few years, it reminds me of my childhood, my roots, and the values I grew up with.

— How did you become a model?
Ever since I was little, people have told me that I should become a model one day. When I was 13, I was scouted for the first time while I was in Amsterdam. But at that time, I didn’t feel ready for it, so I turned it down — and I continued to say no to similar opportunities for a while. As I got older, I started to enjoy taking pictures and being in front of the camera more and more. Eventually, I decided to give it a try. I applied to my agency myself, and that’s how it all started.

— What’s an essential part of your daily routine?
Music is a big part of my daily routine; I listen to it almost every moment I’m alone. Whether I’m getting ready, cooking, or just taking some time for myself, there’s always music playing in the background. When I’m upset or stressed, it helps me calm down and refocus. Depending on my mood, I switch between genres, but most of the time I need something with a lot of energy to keep me going.
