I have an irrational fear of losing my voice permanently. As strange as it may sound, the idea of not being able to communicate or express myself verbally really unsettles me.

— What are 3 interesting facts about you?
1. First, I have a deep interest in psychology and human behavior.
2. Second, I’m passionate about classic cinema and draw a lot of inspiration from vintage aesthetics for my personal style.
3. And third, I’ve always had a strong visual memory I often remember places, people, or details just by the color or shape I associate with them, which really helps me in creative environments.

— How did you become a model?
I was first discovered on Instagram by my scout, who saw potential in my look and presence. Shortly after, I did my first professional photoshoot to build my portfolio. Not long after that, I began traveling to pursue early career opportunities, and everything started to unfold from there.

Call Me by Your Name because it has a different way of explaining love, unlike traditional love movies. I love the location and the colors of the movie; it reminds me of memories from the past.

— Share a bit about your background and upbringing.
I have always liked to create things. When I was a kid, I liked to draw a lot. I would always say I wanted to be an inventor, ahah. I studied audiovisuals, and I would love to be a music producer too.

— Can you tell us about your happiest childhood memory?
There is this hotel that my family and I used to go to every summer, and I have a lot of happy memories there with my cousin. We used to build little houses with sticks, make friends, and play a lot of games with them.

— One thing people may be surprised to find out about you:
I attend the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, where I study the business of fashion.

— Tell us about your hometown.
I actually have two hometowns. I was born in Düsseldorf, Germany, where I had an incredible city upbringing. Life there meant riding my bike to school and friends’ apartments, traveling across Europe with ease, and skiing in the French Alps during the winters. When I was 8, I moved to Gainesville, Florida. It’s a lush, tropical college town filled with students, wildlife, and endless greenery. I grew up going to University of Florida Gator games and watching the sun set over Payne’s Prairie, where you’d often catch sight of alligators and even wild horses. The only downsides? The swarms of mosquitoes — and the gators that sometimes felt a little too close for comfort.

Bees and wasps — if they fly too close, I’ll absolutely scream.

— If you were to choose a song that symbolizes this current phase of your life, what would it be and why?
Gravity by Brent Faiyaz ft Tyler, the Creator. I’ve chosen this song because Gravity explores the feeling of being pulled in different directions when you’re on a personal journey, especially when you’re growing, chasing goals, or changing as a person. I currently am exploring and trying to grow as a person in all areas of my life and starting a career. This song reflects how I feel enduring such pressures of trying to find what’s right.

— How did you become a model?
I was out on a school trip for university choices. As I was standing with my friends, my current mother agent approached me and asked if I had ever been a model. I told her no, and she gave me her contact card. From there my career in modeling had begun.

— How did you become a model?
My agent scouted me on the street in my hometown. She was riding past me on her bike when she suddenly shouted to ask my age. At first, I was a bit surprised, but she came back and asked if I had ever thought about modelling. The rest is history.
