— What’s a favorite book/movie/TV show, and why do you love it?
One of my favorite series is Prison Break. I have watched it four times. I love this series because I think that the main character is so smart and interesting.
— What’s the scariest thing you’ve ever done?
Some people are scared of flying in a hot-air balloon, but we tried it in Turkey with my family, and I think that is one of the most exciting activities I’ve ever done.
— How did you become a model?
I was visiting an education event when a talent hunter saw me and asked if I would join the agency.

— What are 3 interesting facts about you?
1. I know every ABBA song.
2. I love rollerskating.
3. My favorite subject in school was Latin.
— What’s a story your family/friends like to tell about you?
I’m a horrible baker, so there are multiple stories about that. I have baked a cake and forgot flour, and I have baked one and mistaken water for oil. So I haven’t baked in a while, haha.
— Tell us about your hometown.
My hometown is called Sønderborg in Denmark, but right now I live in Budapest, which is so nice. But I miss Sønderborg. It’s a quite small city, so almost everyone knows each other in some way, which is very cute. I’ve lived there since I was 7, and before that, I lived in Copenhagen. I love a city with life and many people, but there is something about Sønderborg that just speaks to me. The best thing is definitely the people. Everyone is nice, and all my family and friends live there. The worst is that it’s a small city, so they don’t have the nice stores like Zara and Cos, haha.

— The most interesting thing about your family:
We’re all Mexican, but my background is a mix. My dad’s side is Syrian-Mexican, and my mom’s side is European-Mexican. It’s a really unique blend of cultures and traditions.
— What are 3 interesting facts about you?
1. I was a competitive gymnast for 16 years, so passion, discipline, and a bit of risk have always been part of my life. That naturally turned into a love for freestyle skiing, something about flying through the air gave me such a rush, but peace at the same time.
2. I’m always writing. I love to journal. I write things down so I can look back one day and see how much I’ve grown, and sometimes I laugh at what felt like the biggest problem in that moment. It helps me stay grounded. I’ve found that sometimes it’s hard to say exactly how you feel, but when you write it down, it just comes out more easily.
3. I love sparkles. Most of my wardrobe is glitter, color, and over-the-top pieces, even if I’m just running errands. I never really care if I’m overdressed. I’d rather wear what makes me happy.
— Tell us about your hometown.
I was born in New York City and grew up between Manhattan and my hometown in Mexico, Culiacán, Sinaloa. I spent a lot of my early years going back and forth. The best thing about Culiacán is that my whole family is there. I loved the culture, the food, swimming in the pool at our house, and spending time with all my cousins. It honestly felt like Disneyland to me. The worst part was always having to leave and go back to New York. In Manhattan, I loved going to gymnastics as a kid. But the hardest part was feeling so far from my family in Mexico.
