— The most interesting thing about your family:
The most interesting, or in my eyes, the shocking thing, is the fact that most of my family is a part of the Mormon religion, which is very surprising because most of the things that religion believes in are qualities that I do not align with. However, I am still very close with my entire family.
— What’s a favorite book/movie/TV show, and why do you love it?
My absolute favorite film is the 2022 movie titled ‘Babylon.’ It portrays the harsh reality of Hollywood during the process of change from silent films to films with sound. A reality that modern Hollywood resents and does not want to share with the public, so the amazingly produced film is completely resented by Hollywood. The most interesting fact about it is that the main actress, Margot Robbie, has released a statement that loosely mentions the fact that Hollywood will look back in 20 years and regret not giving it the recognition it deserves, then and always.
— Tell us about your hometown.
My hometown is a very small village surrounded by trees, fields, and tractors—something I do not resonate with in any way, except for the experiences I have had there. I sometimes visit it because my parents still live there, and to be honest, they are the best part of it. The worst part is very easy to spot: the closed-mindedness and conservatism of every single soul in that town, without any exceptions.

— The most interesting thing about your family:
My family takes drinking milk every day way too seriously. I am still a victim of this habit even after living 8 years away from them. Got to get my Vitamin D!
— Tell us about your hometown.
My home town is in the east of India. The state name is Jharkhand, and I grew up in this beautiful town called Ranchi. Although I’ve lived outside of Ranchi most of the time because of my father’s job, I also belong to this beautiful indigenous tribe called Oraon. The best part about it is that it’s full of nature, waterfalls, hills, and mountains. It is also full of other beautiful indigenous tribes. The worst part is that it’s developing like any other city.
— What’s the scariest thing you’ve ever done?
I did not tell my parents about my modeling career for 2-2.5 years, and they thought I was still doing that 9-5 job. Coming from a humble background and a tough household, following your dream is a step of rebellion and risk, and I knew my parents wouldn’t agree, so I decided to first fully secure and accept myself as a model before expecting anyone else to do that for me.

— What’s a story your family/friends like to tell about you?
On my first day in school, when I was 6 years old, my teacher told me to do something, and I replied, “I know you don’t know me yet, but I don’t like when people tell me what to do,” hahaha. After that, I had to go to a child psychologist for around a year. This was fun for me because once a week, I drew pictures and played with dolls. But my Mum was pretty annoyed, lol.
— What are 3 interesting facts about you?
1. I moved around a lot as a child. I was born in Turkey, then moved to Switzerland before moving back to my home country, Germany. I have Canadian citizenship as well because before I was born, my parents lived there for a long time, and one of my sisters was born there.
2. I definitely have more black cat energy than golden retriever.
3. I am dyslexic.
— How did you become a model?
Since I can remember, everybody told me that I should start modeling. So, at some point at age 17, I just sent some pictures to the one agency close by (Modelwerk), and they were interested.

— What’s a favorite book/movie/TV show, and why do you love it?
My comfort show is RuPaul’s Drag Race. I really enjoy this one for the glitz, humor, jaw-dropping creativity, and leg up it gives on self-appreciation. The show brings to light people who’ve been through much rejection, much trauma, and much self-doubt, but somehow manage to turn their pain into something incredibly beautiful and empowering. This is inspiring to see artists who live by every word of who they are in breaking boundaries.
— An issue or cause you are passionate about:
Mental health is at the heart of my brand, my art, and the way I express myself. I want people to feel seen, understood, and empowered to speak about what they’re going through without shame. Additionally, I’m passionate about trans visibility and creating some space for gender diversity. We should all just be able to be who we are and feel safe being ourselves. I’m interested in breaking stigma, promoting healing, and helping other people feel a little less alone, especially in communities that are often overlooked or misunderstood.
— What are 3 interesting facts about you?
1. I am super into music, my favorite genre is metal.
2. I have always been creative; ever since I was a child, I have been drawn to art and ways of expression. I draw, sew, play the guitar, and find ways to express myself through style and interior design.
3. I created my own brand, InPocket, to share meaningful designs that reflect emotions, to advocate for mental health.

— How did you become a model?
My mom was a model, and I always thought it was cool. But as a child, I wanted to be an actor really badly, so I’d audition and audition, but I had a really bad stutter. Finally, at 13, I was at an audition for a cereal commercial, and the casting director stopped me and said, “Acting maybe isn’t your thing, but you’d be a great model,” and I kinda ran for it after that.
— An issue or cause you are passionate about:
A cause I’m very passionate about is homelessness/poverty. I find it very sad that someone can work 40+ hours a week and still not have enough to support themselves, especially single mothers. Having children is already a very difficult job, so to have to do that plus another job and not even be sure you’ll be able to make rent or put food on the table breaks my heart.
— Can you tell us about your happiest childhood memory?
My mother and I are best friends and have always been. Our birthdays are five days apart. Whenever she would go run errands, she’d ask if anyone wanted to come. All my brothers would say no because what kid wants to go grocery shopping, but I’d always say yes because I loved being around my mom all the time, so I think just spending that time listening to old-school hits with my mom!

2. I’ve been designing and sewing since I was 10 years old. I work a full-time job at @Aritzia, currently working as a senior stylist. I’ve been with the company for 3 years and worked at multiple locations in the US and Canada.
3. I love writing, and while I am very private about it now, one day, I plan to share my work. But the world’s not ready for what I have to say just yet.
— What’s a story your family/friends like to tell about you?
In grade 6, I decided to join my school’s musical production of Footloose. I auditioned for a side character (the cranky grandmother) and unwillingly got the lead. Later, I bombed because I hated playing a straight white man. It was hilarious to watch!
— The most interesting thing about your family:
We are a blended family! Adoption is a pattern in my family tree along with being immigrants; I was adopted from Korea, My grandmother was adopted from Quebec, and my mother and her side of the family grew up in Ohio; she then immigrated to Canada and took our family name which is French!
