— What are 3 interesting facts about you?
1. I grew up as an elite competition dancer. I am trained in ballet, hip-hop, lyrical, and contemporary.
2. I absolutely love animals. I spent a lot of my time growing up volunteering at animal shelters, fostering, and pet-sitting.
3. I have always been deeply fascinated by the human mind and behavior, and passionate about the importance of human rights. If I return to school, I will be majoring in psychology with a minor in criminal justice.
— How did you become a model?
I knew I wanted to model from a very young age. My mom always adds that there wasn’t a doubt in her mind that it would be my future, even though she turned down numerous offers from scouts until I was in high school… So when I was 8, I settled for forcing my friends to partake in many, many photoshoots. When I was 18, I graduated high school and left my small town for Los Angeles. I had no plan, money, or connections. I submitted myself to multiple agencies, and after six months of no luck, I began to doubt myself and question my future for the first time. One day, I was mindlessly scrolling on TikTok when I came across a viral video promoting a new mother agency, Bamby Models. I decided as a last effort, with no real belief that I would hear back, to DM her. Jasmine answered immediately. Within a month, I was signed worldwide. I owe everything in my career to her. Love you, Jasmine!

— If you were to choose a song that symbolizes this current phase of your life, what would it be and why?
I like the song “Ninguém me ensinou” by Lagum because I feel like it fits my life. There’s a line like this; I’ll translate it because it’s in Portuguese: “Life is so good, I’m in my early 20s, and I’m not stopping here.” I really enjoy my life, and I don’t want to stop. I love my job and that it involves traveling and meeting amazing, smart, creative people… Another part of the song says “I miss home, my mom misses me, but it’s okay, this is the life I chose, I’m not afraid to make mistakes, I’m just afraid to give up.” And I really do miss it, but it’s okay because I’m living my dream, and I can’t give up. Another part says, “Who taught you to dream? Nobody taught me.” I think of that part as if nobody taught me the path I’m on now; I’m just discovering it little by little.

— What’s a favorite book/movie/TV show, and why do you love it?
My favorite book is “The Brothers Karamazov” by Dostoevsky because of the drama, mystery, and almost surrealism that the book has, and the characters’ really good development. My favorite movie is “Inglourious Basterds” by Tarantino because it is a masterpiece. It has historical references, suspense, action, and was made by the great Tarantino.
