— What’s a favorite book/movie/TV show, and why do you love it?
One of my favorite movies is The Holy Mountain by Alejandro Jodorowsky. It’s an aesthetically pleasing, surreal, but fun spiritual journey. It’s easy to get lost in the complicated symbols, but in the end, it gives a very clever answer to all our questions. I think it’s a movie that everyone must see.

— How did you become a model?
When I was in high school, I had the idea of wanting to be a model, but my classmate at that time told me that I didn’t look good and asked why I wanted to be a model. I think I might have given up if I had been very weak at the time. But I didn’t believe what she said; I still went to the interview at the best local modeling training agency, and the teacher there told me at the very first moment when she saw me, “Yishan, you will be a professional model.” Later on, after my intense high school studies, I entered the university, and with the help of my teacher, I successfully started my modeling career.

— What’s an essential part of your daily routine?
I think the essential thing in my life is my family; they comfort me when I’m sad, encourage me when I’m frustrated, and even if I’m anxious, spending time with my family makes me feel like there’s nothing hard in the world.

— What is your biggest irrational fear?
I’m terrified of dense things, like ants clustered in a ball or a knee that has fallen on small, dense gravel; even if I don’t see it with my own eyes, just imagining it makes me tingly and physically ill.
