Cassie

Who:
Cassie Orr (@cassie_orr) — 180 cm / 5’11” — American from San Diego, California, USA — born February 26th — she/her.

Where:
No Ties Management (Los Angeles – mother agency)

— The most interesting thing about your family:
My parents met at MIT, and they are both really into landscape photography. Especially my mom; she is passionate about flowers, and our garden is filled with different types of roses, carnations, dahlias, ranunculus, and columbines.

— What are three interesting facts about you?
1. I am really good at math and took college-level classes in high school. Since my family is made up of scientists, STEM concepts have always come easily to me.
2. Fun fact: I’ve never been to a hair salon. I cut my own hair as well as my friends and family’s.
3. I really enjoy eating super spicy dishes; I can eat “Sundubu Jjigae” and never get tired of it. Literally would eat that every single day if I could.

— How did you become a model?
Funny enough, my track and field jump coach approached me one day at practice and asked if I was interested in modeling. She also worked for a modeling agency and said I had a great, edgy look. I thought she was joking around at first, but the director of the agency was really interested as well, so I thought, why not?

Dreya

Who:
Dreya Tianni (@DreyaTianni) — 178 cm / 5’10” — American from Minnesota, USA — born August 9th — she/her.

Where:
Zodiac Management (mother agency), Next New York

— What weird or useless talent do you have?
I sort of have two. I’ve always been able to wiggle my ears, which kinda freaks people out. I’m not sure how I do it; I just do it. The second one is I can speak Esperanto, which is a constructed language made to be universal. Only about 2 million people speak it worldwide. I don’t know anyone else who speaks it, so it could seem useless, but I think it’s cool!

— How did you become a model?
I was scouted by my lovely mother agent, Zodiac Management, through Instagram. I had recently become interested in modeling as a career and found them through a model I followed. The day after I followed their account, they reached out, asking how tall I was and if I was interested in modeling. I submitted digitals to them, and they responded and wanted to meet me! I’m from small-town Minnesota and had never been to NYC before, but my mom and I had planned a trip to come here for the first time, and it just so happened to be about a month after Zodiac reached out to me. We met and instantly clicked. I signed with them, and the rest is history! To this day, I believe it was fate because it all came together so perfectly. I am so grateful for them!

— Who is someone you admire and why?
Someone I’ve always admired is my mom. She’s the most hardworking, selfless person I know. She’s always been my #1 cheerleader, and she believes in me even when I don’t believe in myself. She’s my best friend, and I am beyond grateful to have her as my mother.

Ine

— What’s a story your family/friends like to tell about you?
My mom loves to tell the story about me being 2 years old in Disney World and just completely dipping on everybody. Nobody had a clue where I was and therefore scared shitless because Disney World is huge, and I was gone. And there I was, just wanting to see the Minnie Mouse House again, and since my parents didn’t want to go back there for a second time, I took matters into my own hands and went by myself. When they finally found me there, I was not aware of the fact that I could’ve done maybe anything wrong.

— An issue or cause you are passionate about:
It’s a thin line to walk with the job as a model because when you think of modeling, you don’t necessarily think of sustainability. But for me, sustainability in fashion is a huge deal. I love educating myself about new ways of more sustainable production or ways to make your consumption more sustainable. We only have one planet after all.

— One thing people may be surprised to find out about you:
I used to work in a pastry shop as a baker. It was so fun to get paid to do your hobby.

Kiara

Who:
Kiara Wijaya (@kiarawijayaa_) — 176 cm / 5’9″ — Indonesian from Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia — born June 28th — she/her.

Where:
3mmodels (London – mother agency) & Persona (Indonesia – mother agency)

— Tell us about your hometown.
My hometown is Bali. The best thing about it is I live in a place with lots of beaches. I love Bali’s food; one of my favorites is Rujak Kuah Pindang, a tropical fruit salad on slices mixed with fish gravy. There are also many interesting Balinese Traditional Ceremonies that combine religion and art. I feel grateful to have lived in Bali since I was born, and I don’t think there is anything bad about my hometown.

— The most interesting thing about your family:
Both of my parents are mixed Chinese and Balinese. So, there are two cultures in my family. I was raised in Indonesia, where every culture here is still very strict. Although both cultures in my family are very strong with traditions and rituals, they also go with high tolerance.

— What’s the last thing you Googled?
The last thing that I Googled was the song lyrics for “Love Wins All” by IU because I want to carpool karaoke with my mom when we are on the road trip from Jakarta to Bali for over 20 hours.

— One thing people may be surprised to find out about you:
All my life, I’ve struggled with perfectionism and the need for control. Sometimes, you don’t need to do it perfectly; you just need to do it.

— Who is your favorite entertainer?
Recently, I’ve been obsessed with Bentley Mescall. She’s been a model since she was 10 years old, and she shares online her life and the struggles that she had to face while growing up in this industry. I admire her because she works as a model while being true to herself. She motivates me to be a better model on my terms.

1. I’m a big sister of two younger brothers.
2. I took dance classes since I was very little until I was 16.

3. I was born in a small town in New Zealand called Helensville.

— How did you become a model?
Growing up, my dad was a model. As a child, I went with him to the agency, where the head booker grabbed a couple of digis, and I got signed.

— What’s a story your family/friends like to tell about you?
So, when I was about seven or eight, I had this encounter with a duck pond, slipped and fell right in. The nickname and label “duck” has stuck with me since that day.
