— How did you become a model?
When I was in high school, I went to a modeling school for 6 months. Not long after that, I got a DM for a casting with Persona, my current agency. That’s how my modeling career continues to this day.

— An issue or cause you are passionate about:
The issue that I am passionate about is processed food vs natural food. My concern is about how it affects our health. In Indonesia, many people would rather eat less nutritious food over nutritious food. For instance, fried flour chicken is more popular in society than naturally boiled chicken. People would rather choose something good for their tongue, not something good for their body, and it’s concerning for me.

— Tell us about your hometown.
Bandung is my hometown. The weather, the trees along the road, and the people are the perfect vibes that I love about Bandung. I have no idea about the worst thing cause so far, Bandung is the most lovely and comfortable place for me.

— An issue or cause you are passionate about:
Living as a woman in my country is still an everyday battle, but it’s not passion. Its rage.

— How did you become a model?
When I was in high school, the girl who later became my agent always used to tell me I needed to get into modeling; years later, when Maria Osado started her agency, she called me, and this journey began.

— Who is your favorite entertainer?
FKA Twigs, I love her music. She is also always learning some new discipline and gaining more consciousness about her body.

— What are three interesting facts about you?
Matteo: People are usually surprised by our dressing style, and they find it interesting that we personally personalize and tailor our clothes!
Niccolò: A fun fact is when we see people amazed when they find out we paint together.
Matteo and Niccolò: Another interesting (and the most hilarious) fact for people is discovering that each of us has a twin. People always hit us with the classic question, “Do you guys have twin telepathy?”…But that’s our secret; we’ll never spill it!

— Tell us about your hometown.
Matteo: Our hometown is Reggio Emilia, a small Italian town with beautiful art and architecture. The best part is the friendly and welcoming atmosphere, like in those small unknown Italian towns in movies!
Niccolò: The tough part about our town is it’s small and a bit isolated. Even though it’s calm and nice, our creative side craves the excitement of big cities!

— How did you become a model?
Matteo and Niccolò: We became models by chance when a friend took us to an open casting for The Attico. Clueless about what to do, designers Gilda and Giorgia made us feel at ease and asked us questions. The next day, we were confirmed for the campaign. We’re excited; it was our first time on set, and our agency noticed us. Later, we got to walk for Gucci in the Twinsburg fashion show, the most beautiful experience we ever had!

— Who is someone you admire and why?
The one I admire the most is my mom. The reason my mom is because she taught me how to face tough situations. She’s a single mother, and I have seen her struggle. Also, when my mother was young, she aspired to be a model, but because of the orthodox thinking of our family, she couldn’t pursue her goal. Because of her, I have learned many things, and that’s why she’s my role model and inspiration.

My family loves to watch fashion shows.

I sent in my pictures because I was bored during corona.

1. I was one of the best newcomer violinists in Europe as a teenager.
2. I’m a tailor, and I studied fashion design and textile technologies in Amsterdam.
3. I speak Chinese.
