— What stresses you out?
Hair wash day!

— How did you become a model?
I was waiting in line outside Tiki Taco for dinner when the scouter from my now agency, Andrea, introduced herself and told me she liked my ‘perfil.’ Because my Spanish is a little rusty, I thought she was flirting with me before I understood she was just doing her job, haha! I then took her Instagram and later joined the agency!

— What are three interesting facts about you?
1. I write songs.
2. I’m scared of moving too quickly. Like skating or skiing freaks me out a little bit.
3. I journal daily.

Where:
Heffner Management (Seattle – mother agency)

— What’s a story your family/friends like to tell about you?
My mom likes to tell people about my first day of first grade. When I was younger, I wanted to express every bit of myself. I loved to do this through my clothes, my hair, my nails, and my heels. On the first day of first grade, I walked into my classroom with bright magenta hair tied back with a bow, a purple and black cheetah-print dress with a tulle skirt, purple nails, and black glossy shoes. That was my favorite outfit I think I’ve ever worn. Listening to this story just reminds me to be myself because if little Alaina had no problem with it, why should I?

— What are three interesting facts about you?
1. I absolutely love roller skating.
2. I love horseback riding.
3. My favorite place on earth is Toulouse, France.

— If you could talk to your younger self, what advice would you give?
Now that I have graduated, I have realized that I want to value the more genuine connections in my life. I would tell my younger self to value those deeper connections and worry less about those who don’t have my best interests at heart. I would also tell my younger self that time is so very precious; remember to always be kinder than necessary because life’s too short to waste time on negative energy.

Stop stressing so much about every little detail and learn that all mistakes aren’t necessarily bad.

Where:
Carmen Duran Agency (Valencia – mother agency), CREW Model Management (Milan)

— What’s your most prized possession and why?
It’s a book of fables about animals from the Greek Aesop; my grandmother used to read them to me when I was little, and it brings back a lot of childhood memories. I still read them from time to time and always find a new lesson.

— An issue or cause you are passionate about:
Travel and meet people from different cultures. Their way of thinking, habits, and traditions. It amazes me that regardless of the culture in which you were born, all humans are essentially the same. And that’s where I see the beauty of the human being.

— What are you super interested in that most people have never heard of?
Magic. Two years ago, I met twin brothers at a summer camp who were professional magicians. Their tricks impressed me so much that I asked them to introduce me to the world of magic. We have been friends since then, and I have also learned several tricks on my own.

Seyhun Cihat (@_egecs) — 189 cm / 6’2.5″ — Turkish from Istanbul, Turkey — born May 28th — he/him.

Where:
Citizen Management (Istanbul – mother agency), Citizen Direct (Berlin), Citizen Management (Oslo)

— How did you become a model?
I always felt that I could be a model, but I did nothing about it. Then one day was waiting for my cousin at a metro station when two guys came up and asked me, “Do you know English?”. They said I looked exactly like a model. They asked me if I wanted to be a model, and excitedly I said, “Yes!”. I took their number and sent my polaroids, but their agency ended up rejecting me. I was so depressed and sad. But then I realized that if they were interested in me, I must have something; there is a light. And so, I opened models.com to find some other agencies. Now I am here with Citizen Management!

— Who is your favorite entertainer?
Vincent Van Gogh. He is a legendary artist now, but when he was alive, he could not sell even one artwork. But still, he kept drawing day after day without eating or sleeping. Because he was doing what he loved. If you’re doing something with love, you will get what you deserve one day.

— What’s a story your family/friends like to tell about you?
When I was four, I went on a picnic with my family. I thought the dog’s shit was chocolate and ate it. It’s been 16 years, but my family still tells everyone and laughs.

Timothy

Who:
Timothy Kenny (@t52470357) — 186 cm / 6’1″ — Irish from Dublin, Ireland — born August 25th — he/him.

Where:
Hercules Models (London – mother agency), Elite Paris, NOLOGO MGMT (Milan), Nevs (London)

— An issue or cause you are passionate about:
I am passionate about raising awareness for neurodivergencies such as Asperger’s syndrome. It is not spoken about enough and is a lot more common than most people think.

— What weird or useless talent do you have?
If I am listening to a new artist that I have never heard before and I think it sounds awful, my brain immediately tries to figure out why they chose to make it sound like this. To me, the thought process behind any art is equally as interesting as the final output. Which usually ends in me appreciating something I initially thought was really bad. But this “talent” has really aided me in broadening my understanding of the artistic process and helps me to appreciate all things creative!

— Who is someone you admire and why?
Leonardo da Vinci was a brilliant polymath. I love the idea of mastering many disciplines and excelling in them. Young Thug for always staying true to himself despite not being taken seriously in his early career. He was always attacked for breaking down the ideas of masculinity and femininity. But now he is one of the most respected artists of all time for completely innovating pop/rap music, using his voice more as an instrument than a device to say lyrics.
