— Who is someone you admire and why?
Keanu Reeves! All-around great actor and nice guy who dates age-appropriate women (the bar is in hell!). Never met him, just get a good vibe. We also, I think, look a little similar, though nobody else really sees this – call me She-Anu.

— An issue or cause you are passionate about:
In many parts of the world, including the UK, trans rights are rolling backwards. Trans healthcare is unbelievably hard to access. Pundits and politicians weaponise harmful disinformation about trans people to score political points. It’s really grim. I can’t call myself an activist, but I hope my work as an author can, at the very least, build some empathy for the trans experience.

— What are three interesting facts about you?
1. I’m a novelist. Bellies, my debut, is out in July 2023 and available for pre-order. It’s about two characters who meet at university, Tom and Ming, and how their relationship is uprooted when Ming announces her intention to transition.

3. I make a mean rendang!

For me, family is sacred. It’s the most important thing in my life. We help and support each other. We are there for each other in bad times. My family is the place where I feel a sense of security all the time; it’s where I learn how to be respectful, kind, and helpful to others.

Queta Rojas (Mexico City – mother agency)

— Who is your favorite entertainer?
Emma Chamberlain. I like that she is “natural”, shows her life “without filters,” and transmits good vibes. It is part of my daily routine to watch a video of her.

— How did you become a model?
It’s kind of weird, but I started modeling because my mom told me that this could help me to be more self-confident because I was too insecure about my height and complexion. So I decided to give it a shot at a fashion show in my hometown, and I really enjoyed it. After the fashion show, I was doing photo shoots in my city. And a few months later, Queta Rojas found me on the Instagram of the model academy that was in my city.

— Your most embarrassing moment:
I went in front of my schoolmates to sing a song with my friend, who takes singing lessons. I don’t sing well at all, so I was embarrassed and turned off the microphone, so only my friend’s voice could be heard, and the whole school started to laugh.

Coming from Poland, right now, I have two that are really close to me. One is, of course, the war that is going on in Ukraine. I’m really proud of how Ukrainians are fighting for their freedom and how much Polish people have helped them. The other one is the fight for LGBTQ+ rights around the world, but especially in Poland, where our government is attacking the whole community all the time and making life there not only difficult but also dangerous for anybody that is part of it.

— Who is your favorite entertainer?
I would say, Larry David. He is one of the funniest people out there, and his tv show is one of my favorites. I can just relate a lot to his way of thinking. He also has great style!

— What’s your most prized possession and why?
A pair of earrings that I got from my husband. I don’t like wearing rings, so they are like my engagement earrings.
