Adriana

Who:
Adriana Lopes (@adrianaa_sofia_) — 176 cm / 5’9.5″ — Portuguese from Corroios, Portugal — born July 5th — she/her.

Where:
Elite Lisbon (mother agency)

— The most interesting thing about your family:
I look more like my aunt (my father’s sister) than my mother. When I was a child, my mother and aunt went shopping, and the cashier asked my aunt if I was her daughter. My father’s family has strong genes, haha.

— Who is someone you admire and why?
As a model, I really admire Mona Tougaard. At first, when I was signing up for the model agencies, I used to see a lot of fashion shows, and she showed up in most of them. After that, I started learning more about her work and started following her on social media. She inspires me a lot.

— How did you become a model?
I’ve always wanted to be a model, and in May of last year, I gained courage and applied to Elite Lisbon, where I was accepted. Since then, I’ve been really enjoying being a model.

Alessandro

Who:
Alessandro Cagnassi (@ale.cagnassi) — 187 cm / 6’1.5″ — Italian from Turin, Italy — born September 7th — he/him.

Where:
CS scouting (Bratislava – mother agency), Metropolitan / M Management / Makers (Paris), Why Not Model Management (Milan)

— What are three interesting facts about you?
1. I have played football since I was little. Unlike other children, I liked defending, so I became a defender for 13 years. Even now, it remains one of my greatest passions.
2. I’ve always really liked math, and now I’m in my third year of economics, and I plan to graduate in July 2023.
3. I really like cooking, from Italian cuisine to typical foreign dishes, but I also like experimenting with new recipes by inventing with what I find in the fridge!

— One thing people may be surprised to find out about you:
I love to watch anime. I also have action figures of my favorites, like “Attack on Titans”, “Hunter x Hunter,” and “Demon Slayer.”

— Your most embarrassing moment:
It was the first day of sixth grade, and the French teacher asked who the president of France was… I answered proudly: Obama! I’d seen him on the news a few days before shaking hands with the real president of France (Holland). My answer speaks for itself!

Godswill

Who:
Godswill John (@godswill._.john) — 186 cm / 6’1″ — Nigerian from Okagboro, Delta State, Nigeria — born November 6th — he/him.

Where:
Beguided Model Management (Port Harcourt – mother agency), Two Management (Barcelona)

— How did you become a model?
Actually, this is a pretty funny story and somewhat ironic. Picture this: The year was 2020, we were just two months in, and I had just gotten into university. One hot Tuesday afternoon, my friend and I were on our way back from the dry cleaners when a man called out to us. With precaution, of course, we went to meet him. It turns out he was a scout for my (now) mother agency. He gave me a whole speech about modeling and how I would do well as a model. When he was done, he asked if I was interested so we could go meet the director, and without batting an eye, I said “NO!” but my friend hit me on the head and encouraged me to give it at least a try, so I finally agreed to go with him because the office was close by. When we got there, the director was short of words and a little bit skeptical about my height which was later measured, and it was all good. I signed up a few days later, and it has been an amazing journey.

— One thing people may be surprised to find out about you:
I love business. Aside from modeling, I am working towards setting up a construction company when I am done with school, and I am currently running a digital marketing company.

— What’s your most prized possession and why?
As a model, I would say my body. It is so natural, and I never have a hard time being myself. I have never been to the gym a day in my life, and I do not have the best diet either (sorry, body), but I am in shape with nicely defined muscles. I honestly cannot count how many times I have been at a shoot, and I get compliments like ‘you have a nice body,’ or ‘everything looks so good on you,’ and the most frequent one, ‘nice abs, bro’ so yea I am very grateful to and for my body.

Janine

Who:
Janine Suarez Bojalil (@janinesuarezb) — 175 cm / 5’9″ — Mexican from Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico — born April 27th — she/her.

Where:
Queta Rojas (Mexico City – mother agency)

— Who is your favorite entertainer?
My favorite entertainer is Emma Chamberlain. Something I love about her is that she is really open about everything. She really enjoys everything she does. She lives her life the way she wants. She doesn’t care about what people think about her. She does everything she loves and that she feels is good for herself. I think her personality is really fresh and free, and also I love her style.

— What’s a story your family/friends like to tell about you?
My mom loves telling one story from the first time I went to Disneyland. Since I was very young, my mom always used to tell me “Guerra”, which means blonde or blondie but in Spanish. So I always thought that I was literally blonde. So the first time I went to Disneyland, we were waiting in line for a roller coaster, and there were two little girls in front of us; I think they were Americans, so they were really blonde. My mom said that I was staring at them all the time, and then I turned and asked her, “who is more blonde, them or me?”

— The most interesting thing about your family:
I think the most interesting thing about my family is that my dad used to be a professional baseball player here in Mexico. That’s why for many years, we moved to different cities, depending on the team my father was playing with. So, I’ve lived in at least 50% of the cities here in Mexico, and of course, we have many friends from different places, and we know different cultures and traditions.

Leroy

Who:
Leroy Metselaar (@leroy._.023) — 189.5 cm / 6’2.5″ — Dutch from Haarlem, The Netherlands — born July 12th — he/him.

Where:
Solid Model Management (Amsterdam – mother agency)

— What are you super interested in that most people have never heard of?
A video game series called Xenoblade Chronicles. It has been my favorite video game franchise ever since I played the first game when I was 12. Back then, the series was almost unknown. Now it is a lot more popular, and I’m proud to be one of the veteran fans.

— What are three interesting facts about you?
1. I built my own computer when I was 15 years old with little to no help besides a YouTube tutorial. I was and still am really intrigued by technology!
2. I play a game called Super Smash Bros Ultimate competitively. I would rank myself within the top 50 best players in The Netherlands for sure. I even traveled to France for a tournament once.
3. I love spicy food! Whenever I see food at a restaurant claiming to be spicy, I can’t resist ordering it. I need to find out whether it’s actually spicy or not since most of them don’t compare to my mom’s cooking, haha!

— How did you become a model?
I was on a very busy train with friends going to Amsterdam for Kings Day. Then out of nowhere, I got approached by a woman asking me if I was a model. I got her card, and my friends couldn’t believe it. Ended up getting signed!

Lue

Who:
Lue Li (@lueluewen) — 176 cm / 5’9.5″ — Chinese from Shaoyang, China — born January 23rd — she/her.

Where:
SMG MODEL MANAGEMENT (Guangzhou – mother agency), Wizard Models (Tokyo)

— How did you become a model?
It started when I was studying fashion design in college, and my teachers encouraged me to model and walk for my design work. I met a lot of designers and photographers, so I have a lot of photos to post on social media. That’s also where my agency found me.

— One thing people may be surprised to find out about you:
I may usually look quiet and obedient, but I’m the type of girl who dares to challenge new things because I believe that anything you are scared of is an opportunity.

— One thing you never want to do again:
Repeated and meaningless labor work that doesn’t require me to think.
