Cheyenne

Who:
Cheyenne Watkins (@cheyennearnez) — 175 cm / 5’9″ — American from Buffalo, New York, USA — born April 28th — she/her.

Where:
Natural Models (Los Angeles – mother agency)

— One thing people may be surprised to find out about you:
People are always surprised when I mention that I am a martial artist. It’s a very unexpected answer whenever I’m asked if I participate in a sport.

— An issue or cause you are passionate about?
I’m super passionate about body positivity. Being able to feel comfortable in your own skin and stepping out into the world with confidence should be a priority. For me, it’s something I’ve struggled with in past years, but I’ve learned to love the woman I have become. Taking time every day just to be grateful and be positive about what I have accomplished and what is yet to come in my life helps a lot.

— What are three interesting facts about you?
1. I am a violinist – I started playing when I was 9 years old and haven’t stopped since. I‘ve played first chair with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra many times, such amazing opportunities.
2. I am a 3rd-degree black belt in Taekwondo. My favorite aspect of Taekwondo is sparring.
3. I have traveled to Budapest, Hungary twice. I absolutely love the historical architecture and the amazing Hungarian dishes. The desserts were definitely one of the highlights!

Ethyn

Who:
Ethyn Munselle (@ethynxm) — 189 cm / 6’2.5″ — American from Evansville, Indiana, USA — born October 16th — he/him.

Where:
Tribe Talent Management (Nashville – mother agency), Next New York

— How did you become a model?
I’ve wanted to model ever since I was a kid and then last year a scout found me from TikTok. I wasn’t 18 yet so they didn’t want to sign me so about six months went by and I decided I was going to take digitals and start submitting to agencies. I found my mother agency Tribe Talent within a few weeks of submitting. Then after a few months, I got a call from Next Models and they wanted to sign me too. I was incredibly shocked and I thought it was fake so I immediately looked up the phone number and, sure enough, it was real and here I am.

— One thing people may be surprised to find out about you:
People are always very surprised when they find out the only food I eat is breaded chicken and it’s the only food I’ve ever eaten. I’ve never tried pizza, burgers or anything besides chicken. It’s not very healthy but it’s something to do with me mentally, I’m basically scared to try new foods.

— What are three interesting facts about you?
1. I love to go thrifting, especially Goodwill bins because it’s almost like a treasure hunt. I search the piles and piles of clothes and the feeling when I find a crazy piece is the best. I also have a clothing brand called trashedgarments and we sell clothes we find there and we re-work them to make our own pieces.
2. My great-grandma taught me to sew this year so I’ve been sewing a lot lately and it’s become one of my favorite things to do. I’ve started with simple things like making split tees and cutting and sewing pants together. But now I’m teaching myself how to sew clothes from scratch.
3. I’m right-handed at everything besides basketball. I don’t know why but I can’t do anything else left-handed so I’ve always found it odd that I can’t shoot basketballs with my right hand.

Joseph Chima (@josephchima_) — 194 cm / 6’3.5″ — Nigerian from Lagos, Nigeria — born October 10th — he/him.

Where:
MyBooker (Lagos – mother agency), PRM Agency (London)

— An issue or cause you are passionate about:
In Lagos I used to volunteer at a local non-profit food bank, focusing on reducing food waste, urban farming and helping feed schools. I haven’t found out if London has a similar program as I have just arrived but I am keen to look into it!

— The most interesting thing about your family:
All three sons model and we all came from Lagos to London!

— Who is someone you admire and why?
My mother. No matter the difficulty and hardships of life she had to go through you always find her smiling!

Madson

Who:
Madson (@madsonnsantos) — 189 cm / 6’2.5″ — Brazilian from Fortaleza, Ceara, Brazil — born August 15th — he/him.

Where:
Joy Management (São Paulo – mother agency)

— Your most embarrassing moment:
When I was 12 years old I was playing in the living room of my house when I slipped and broke my two front teeth. The worst thing was I had to go to my friend’s birthday party with teeth like a vampire. In all the photos from the party, my face is serious. I was ashamed to smile!

— What are three interesting facts about you?
1. I have a great eye for photography and I’m always photographing places around.
2. I go to the thrift store once a week looking for authentic and non-standard clothes, dressing freely and making me feel good.
3. I learned to swim and skate when I was 5 years old.

— One thing people may be surprised to find out about you:
Everyone is surprised when I say that during the pandemic I learned another language just by listening to music and watching series, without the help of a teacher.

Malvina

Who:
Malvina Brzoska (@bedazzl3d) — 177 cm / 5’9.5″ — Polish/French from Warsaw, Poland — born April 1st — she/her.

Where:
United for Models (Warsaw – mother agency), Tank Agency (Milan), MGM Models (Hamburg), East West Models (Frankfurt), Lacoco Model Management (Shanghai)

— The most interesting thing about your family:
I have a really open-minded family. My parents, siblings, and even grandparents. No matter how I dressed, how I did my makeup, or what hairstyle I had they never made me feel bad about my choices. In Poland meat is a huge part of our cuisine. When I told everyone that I was going to stop eating meat they accepted my decision and learned a lot of recipes for me. I am never ashamed to let someone meet my family. They support me with everything and I know that no matter what I can always count on them.

— What are three interesting facts about you?
1. I’m an artistic person. My favorite things are painting, drawing, sculpting, and sewing (I even made a little collection out of second-hand materials).
2, I love learning new stuff. Often while having a conversation people ask me, “but how come you know this?” or “how do you have so much knowledge on this topic?” and most of the time my answer is “I honestly have no clue!”.
3. I don’t remember the last time that I bought something in a fast fashion shop (like H&M, Bershka, Zara, etc). I am super against it and I only buy things in thrift shops or on platforms that allow people to sell clothes (like Vinted).

— How did you become a model?
When I was in my first year of high school my girlfriends kept telling me that I should be a model, so I took some polaroids and sent a lot of emails to different agencies. Unfortunately, the one I ended up with had a really bad influence on my mental health so I had to quit. Then in my last year of high school before my final exams, I had a 2007 Britney “moment” and shaved my head in my bathroom. Not long after, I got scouted on Instagram and had a few meetings with different agencies but then I decided to sign with the agency that I am with to this day.

Mary

Who:
Mary Anok (@) — 180 cm / 5’11” — South Sudanese from Gongrial, South Sudan — born May 5th — she/her.

Where:
FeW Models Africa (Lagos – mother agency)

— What’s a story your family/friends like to tell about you?
They like telling others how courageous I am and how I am full of surprises.

— How did you become a model?
I have always heard about people modeling and doing fashion and all, so when I moved to the refugee camp in Kakuma, I began to listen to people and put my ear out for modeling opportunities. One day I met a scout at a supermarket who asked if I wanted to do international modeling. That was how my modeling dream started.

— Who is someone you admire and why?
I admire Adut Akech because, although she was a refugee and she passed through a lot of challenges in life, she never gave up, she worked hard on her talent until she became a supermodel. I am a refugee who is also going through a lot, just like she experienced. Therefore I like her and she’s my example.
