Where:
ONE Management (New York)

— One thing you never want to do again:
Jump off a cliff on the beach. About two summers ago I injured my coccyx because of it and for almost a month I couldn’t sit upright in a chair.

— What are three interesting facts about you?
1. I became a huge fan of Miley Cyrus at 14 years old, and through the years, I’ve been noticed by her many times. I ended up working for her during quarantine for her Instagram Live show ‘Bright Minded’ creating the schedules with edits for the program.
2. I’ve never ever had a relationship. My life is going in the right way and I’m sure that I have an angel above working hard for me but never on the love side.
3. I really think that if a tsunami or a zombie invasion happens I’ll survive cause I’m always thinking on the positive side of things and I live thinking that I’m super special and the main character of this craziness called the world.

— How did you become a model?
My best friend sent me an email from a newsletter from a huge lingerie brand called Women’s Secret. At the time they were looking for people to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the brand with a big campaign with clients as their models. I’ve never bought anything from the brand but I went to the casting as it was an open call. I was one of the selected models out of the 70,000 people that went to the casting.

Where:
Way Model Management (SĂŁo Paulo – mother agency), d’management group (Milan)

— Who is someone you admire and why?
My parents without a doubt, the way they raised me was amazing. I owe everything to them, they always tried hard and encouraged me to see myself well and to follow my dreams and goals. That has made me become a very responsible person even though I’m young, and I’m able to follow my career without losing myself

— One thing people may be surprised to find out about you:
At the age of 13, I was already 1.80 (5’11”) tall, that must be normal somewhere, lol.

— What are three interesting facts about you?
1. I love to draw, especially realistic drawings of people and human anatomy but when I was a child when I spent hours making stories (comics) drawn by me.
2. I am fascinated and study a lot about the human mind and body. I want to know how everything works, how our thoughts act in certain moments, ways, and forms, and human behavior before everything that happens in our lives, consciously and unconsciously.
3. I am addicted to adrenaline and adventure. I like difficult adventures like going from one city to another by bike, going into the woods and camping outdoors, climbing giant trees, and walking and running through long paths. I always want to test my potential.

I admire Naomi Campbell because she is one of the most well-known models. And I admire her because the confidence she has on the catwalk is breathtaking.

My family is a total mix of ethnic backgrounds. My mum’s side of the family is Maltese and English. Then one side of my dad’s family were in the traveling circus. My great-grandmother was a tiny 4ft trapeze artist who looked Nepalese but no one quite knows her origins.

— Your most embarrassing moment:
When I was in high school I loved to play football. I would usually join the men’s team and play with them. Once a guy hit me with a ball so hard that it dislocated my shoulder. Everyone talked about that every time they wanted to say that I had no strength in me to play football.

— What are three interesting facts about you?
1. I love acting.
2. If I didn’t do acting and modeling I would probably try and be a singer.
3. All of my tattoos represent someone in my life.

— How did you become a model?
I recently saw a picture of me when I was 2 years old posing with a hand on my hip. Bear in mind that this was how I thought models would pose. I’ve wanted to be a model since I can remember. People would often say I should become one because I was tall and skinny so I started my journey when I was 14. I first joined an agency in Portugal but only started working regularly once I moved to the UK.

Owen

Who:
Owen Ley (@owenrley) — 181 cm / 5’11.5″ — American from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA — born September 20th — he/him.

Where:
Ricky Michiels Management (New York – mother agency)

— What are you super interested in that most people have never heard of?
Gregg Araki’s films. They aren’t that obscure anymore, as they were featured in a Heaven by Marc Jacobs drop, but they still hold a special place in my heart. He was part of the “New Queer Cinema” wave in the 90s and his work has some of the best visuals I’ve seen on screen. I even did a research project on his filmography for school. I have a poster of The Doom Generation in my bedroom, the James Duval Heaven sweater, and the “I Blame Society” shirt Duval’s character wore in “Totally F***ed Up.”

— How did you become a model?
I love telling this story! My high school made us sign up for two workshops during “Career Day” and in junior year I signed up to hear photographer Katie McCurdy talk, not expecting much from it. I was surprised to see that she had already shot a bunch of my fav celebs, and had graduated from my high school! We chatted a bit after and she DMed me a few months later to shoot me in my home, and then again in summer 2020 to shoot my friends and m for a “prom” shoot since we didn’t get to have one that year. After she posted a picture of me from that shoot, my agent Ricky slid in my DMs, we FaceTimed the next day, I took my own digitals with my parents’ camera, and I was signed!

— What are three interesting facts about you?
1. I won the spelling bee in 8th grade with the word “mayonnaise.”
2. I’m a huge McDonald’s fan and eat it at least once a week.
3. I’m studying Strategic Design & Management at Parsons and minoring in Japanese.
