— One thing people may be surprised to find out about you:
One thing about me that people are always surprised to learn is that I’m a huge introvert. Growing up I’ve always been really shy and I find that even in my adult years, it’s something that I still struggle with. I find that I still get anxious about meeting new people or going to new places. I’m grateful for modeling and how it’s forced me to come out of my comfort zone and how it continues to help me overcome this.
— Who is someone you admire and why?
The person that I admire the most is my mother, Fatou. I’ve never met someone so strong and resilient in my entire time. This woman has had every possible thing you can imagine happen to her and each and every time she handles it with grace and rises above. I strive to be half of the woman that she is. She’s my hero and my comfort.
— What’s your most prized possession and why?
My most prized possessions would have to be my grandmother’s rings. When she passed we all got something of hers and I chose her rings. I remember as a child always looking at her hands and I always admired how beautiful the rings on her fingers were. This way I feel as if I always have a piece of her with me at all times.

— What are three interesting facts about you?
1. I used to do a lot of sports when I was little. Including handball, aerobics, athletics and dancing. I just love sports and being active.
2. My life goal is to become a surgeon. I have been dreaming about it since 7th grade. And I am really looking forward to studying at university.
3. I am a competitive person. Once I start to do something, I always have to be the best and have everything done perfectly.
— What’s your most prized possession and why?
I would say it is my relationship with my mom. I couldn’t have imagined a better mom. She is my best friend and I admire her so much.
— How did you become a model?
Well, it is not as interesting a story as you would expect. One day in the summer a scout contacted me on Instagram and asked me if I was interested in being a model for their agency. I said yes and went to a meeting with the dearest boss I have ever met, she liked me and that’s how I became a model.

— An issue or cause you are passionate about:
I am extremely passionate about trans liberation. There are a lot of struggles and miracles that trans people experience that are invisible to people outside of our community. I am always trying to make art that puts the real lives of trans people, the good and the bad, on full display.
— How did you become a model?
It’s a funny story actually. I was living in North Carolina and working at a local bar, and I had been talking to my coworkers about being interested in modeling. One of my coworkers mentioned that his cousin was a “modeling person” in New York, and I honestly didn’t take him very seriously at that point, but he insisted that I check him out. By that night I was in contact with Daniel, and within the week I was signed with Mondays Mgmt!
— One thing people may be surprised to find out about you:
I am not so secretly a math and computer science nerd. I guess it’s debatable whether or not that’s surprising coming from a trans girl, as there seems to be a lot of us actually. I kind of pretend to be some kind of wild artist, but in all honesty, I am a total geek.

— What’s a story your family/friends like to tell about you?
My parents love to tell a story about when I was little and put chewing gum on a new TV. Eventually, the TV had to be removed because the gum destroyed the screen. I even tried to deny it but it was hopeless.
— What’s your most prized possession and why?
My grandmother gifted me one claw of a polar bear which my great uncle found when he was living in Siberia. It’s super rare to have one from real nature and especially because polar bears are threatened with extinction nowadays. My grandma told me it’s going to be my lucky charm and that’s why I take care of it now.
— What are three interesting facts about you?
1. I‘m a huge fan of plants. I own a full vegetable garden in the big backyard and a whole lot of gorgeous self-grown fruit plants at home.
2. I’ve been playing the piano since I was 6 and I can even play with my eyes closed.
3. My right eye is two-colored, which is even mentioned in my ID.

— Who is someone you admire and why?
Richard Meier. This is an architect, a person who makes complex geometric shapes in his projects and at the same time uses only light. He was ahead of his time in his projects.
— What’s a story your family/friends like to tell about you?
My grandfather is very fond of telling a story from my childhood. When I was little, we walked with him in the park and I learned a song in which I knew only two sentences. I sang it very loudly, people who passed by turned around and smiled, and my grandfather sang along with me.
— What are three interesting facts about you?
1. I don’t wear make-up in everyday life.
2. I like to express my emotions on canvas and paint.
3. I love places near mountains.

I am a clinical laboratory technician, I studied genomic medicine. I’ve been always interested in science and I learned many things from all these academic years. I got a better understanding of the world and fed my sense of interest and curiosity.
— An issue or cause you are passionate about:
Body positivity. I believe that everyone deserves to be confident and have a positive view of their body, regardless of how popular culture portrays very unrealistic body and beauty standards. LOVE YOURSELF AS YOU ARE. BE CONFIDENT.
