— What’s your most prized possession and why?
My Serge DeNimes dove ring. I am not a massive jewelry person but I think almost every outfit can benefit from a touch of silver. The ring was gifted to me at a funny point in my life, I became attached to it and now my right hand feels bare without it. I haven’t left the house without it in years.

— What are three interesting facts about you?
1. I can quote, word for word, any scene from The Dark Knight Rises. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say I’ve seen that movie nearly 100 times.
2. I love listening to cinematic scores. Hans Zimmer, Ilan Eshkeri, and Ramin Djawadi *chefs kiss*
3. I make a top-notch aubergine katsu curry, with consistent 10/10 reviews.

— Who is your favourite entertainer?
Without a doubt, Tom Hardy. If there is a movie with him in it, I already know I will love it. No one else has the presence he does on the screen. I love his intensity and it is something I have tried to emulate on stage.

— What are you super interested in that most people have never heard of?
I love to read books that have to do with transmigration and rebirth. These types of books most of the time are Chinese novels that are translated into English. Now transmigration, also known as reincarnation, is when a person passes away and that soul within the body goes into the body of another person. In these books, the main character passes away and wakes up in another body and gets the memory of the body that they are occupying and by doing this they change the fate of that person/body. But most of the time with rebirth, the main character passes away after going through betrayal, tragedy, regrets, etc. and they will be reborn in the same body before all of this happened (before the betrayal, tragedy, regrets). After getting this second chance they will try to change their own fate and not fall into the same traps/schemes from their past life because this time they know who the enemy is and who is not.

— What are three interesting facts about you?
1. I like to dance. I am in a dance group in Curacao.
2. I like to read books, especially Asian novels. Also, books that are fantasy, action, detective, etc. I can read 24/7.
3. I have a fear of boats, ships, cruises, you name it. Even though I love the beach and pools!

— What’s your most prized possession and why?
My most prized possession is my education. I think graduating high school and college is the most important thing in my life. It is my way to my future happiness. With my education, I have the power to create any type of future I desire. Education is teaching me the right skills and attitude and is preparing me for the challenges that I would encounter in my life. This knowledge that I get from my education, is not something that you can take from me, it is within me. That’s why it is my most prized possession.

Where:
Two Management (Berlin – mother agency), d’management group (Milan)

— What’s a story your family/friends like to tell about you?
Once I was drunk and I danced with my best friend. She is like 5ft so she is way smaller and fits perfectly under my beer bottle. While we were dancing she basically jumped up and rammed my beer bottle right between my teeth. My teeth broke apart and I had a big game the next day. I called my trainer fully drunk and made a fool of myself. The next day I was the biggest meme on my team.

— The most interesting thing about your family:
As a Christmas dinner, we always eat sausage with fries which is quite unique, I guess.

— An issue or cause you are passionate about:
I’m passionate about many causes because there is so much wrong with humanity and there is a lot of suffering. Of course, right now, although I can’t do a lot, I feel very sad for Ukraine and I’m speechless about how fast things can change. Also, I’ve been suffering from a virus for a year which also took me apart mentally. I have way more respect for people who suffer from chronic illnesses and bad mental health.

— What’s your most prized possession and why?
The most valuable thing I have is my family because we always support each other. We enjoy spending time together, for example walking in nature with our dog.

— An issue or cause you are passionate about:
I care about equality. I am against racism.

— How did you become a model?
I applied at No Toys Model agency by e-mail.

— Who is your favorite entertainer?
Mark Gonzales is definitely one of my favorite entertainers. His skateboarding is innovative and captivating. I find his poetry and art to be lighthearted and goofy but very genuine. He reminds me to stay true to my personal values and not take life too seriously.

— What are three interesting facts about you?
1. I have a soft spot for analog photography. The challenge of trying to capture moments and emotions through a lens is a constant and enjoyable pursuit. In an age where people are offered so much instant gratification through modern technology, shooting film forces me to slow down and savor the process, not just the end result.
2. I love to travel! Experiencing different cultures and exploring new places is always so exciting. I treasure the connections I’ve made while traveling, I always come back with amazing memories and altered perspectives.
3. Skateboarding is where I put most of my time and effort. It’s actually one of the main reasons I moved to San Francisco. I love the feeling of being on a board as well as all the connections and experiences it leads me to.

— One thing you never want to do again:
Work a job that doesn’t inspire me.

Rebecca

Who:
Rebecca Calo (@rebycalo) — 175 cm / 5’9″ — Italian from Milan, Italy — born November 6th — she/her.

Where:
SOPHIE MODELS (Milan – mother agency)

— Your most embarrassing moment:
I went to a casting but forgot it was for a runway show. So I decided at home to wear a comfortable pair of socks, ones that were given to me at an elementary school party, with purple cows and flowers. When I took off my shoes at the casting the casting director looked at me very badly. My face turned red but it was so funny!

— What’s a story your family/friends like to tell about you?
At the age of 2, I hid in a suitcase because I wanted to go with my mum to Paris Fashion Week. She always said it was a sign from the universe and that one day I would walk the shows in Paris!

— How did you become a model?
My mum is a designer and one day at a casting I helped her decide which model to book. Then, when we finished, my mum’s workmate said that I should try to be a model. So a month ago, after school, I went to an open casting without any expectations and they signed me.
