Where:
Folio Montreal (mother agency), Premium Models (Paris), Why Not Model Management (Milan)

— What are you super interested in that most people have never heard of?
As health and nutrition have always been big interests of mine, I often find myself reading about new research in this field. Lately, microbiomes and how they affect our health has become a new interest of mine. I have been making sure that my family and friends all know about it but it became more of an inside joke as the interest is not really mutual.

— An issue or cause you are passionate about:
I have been spending a lot of time in the Bahamas recently and I truly love this part of the world. Every time I go, one of my favorite activities is to snorkel around the reefs. The Bahamas are home to the third-largest barrier reef in the world. Exploring these ecosystems has nourished my love for corals and I have been doing active research as to how to prevent these wonderfully diverse and environmentally essential species from extinction.

— One thing you never want to do again:
A few summers ago, I went to South Africa for a humanitarian trip. It was an amazing and fulfilling experience and I truly fell in love with the country. On weekends when we weren’t working at disadvantaged schools or orphanages, we would explore the country by doing different activities. I was particularly excited to try surfing for the first time. The country is renowned for its beaches and the surfing culture seemed to be predominant so I was really excited. It was winter there so we had special wetsuits to brave the coldness of the sea. As everyone was getting ready, I hadn’t realized that they had accidentally given me a summer wetsuit! I’m always freezing in general so I knew it wouldn’t be an easy first surfing experience but I was really clueless as to how bad it would be. As I first stepped into the water, I realized that I was doomed from the start. The sea was violent and icy cold, colder than anything I’ve ever felt and I’m from Quebec! To conclude the story, my friend took a picture of me half standing up on the board surrounded by the freezing waves, with a facial expression that really showed my terror
in the moment. Still to this day that picture is the subject of a lot of laughter!

Where:
FOGG Management (Denver – mother agency), DNA Models (New York), Wilhelmina Denver

— Who is someone you admire?
I greatly admire and respect an artist by the name of Mach-Hommy for many reasons, however, the biggest is the awareness he brings to the Haitian culture and identity through his music. It’s beautiful.

— An issue or cause you are passionate about:
I am extremely passionate about animal rights. Many people do not realize animals have sentience too and feel emotions, just like us. A big driving force in my life is bringing awareness to the atrocities that are happening to animals and hopefully one day, I can take a more impactful role in the abolishment of their exploitation.

— One thing you will never do again:
This summer I went to Disney in Orlando and their water park is home to one of the fastest water slides in the world (60mph). I decided to break the record for the number of times gone down, which previously was 31 times. I broke it and ended with 40. I will never do this again because my body has never been so sore before. Due to the 150-stair climb mixed with intense speeds, I could barely move afterward.

Almost my whole life I’ve struggled with mental health issues which is really surprising for most people because I am most of the time a very energetic, positive and outgoing person.

— What’s a story your family/friends like to tell about you?
I’ve always had a big sense for justice so my mum likes to tell the story about my time in school where I got into trouble with teachers because I communicated to them that they didn’t treat some kids very fair and that they should do better.
