Where:
UNN Model Management (Cairo – mother agency)

— An issue or cause you are passionate about:
I am passionate about the Black Lives Matter Movement, mostly because I believe that all people are equal and we should all enjoy equal privileges, equal rights and equal respect. I am also interested in women empowerment by encouraging young South Sudanese women to keep their natural skin since bleaching is a trend nowadays…

— What are three interesting facts about you?
My late father was the Paramount Chief of our clan (1), which means I am a Princess (2).
Ironically I am an introverted MC… I participate in and host events, yet I’ve always been that quiet kid (3).

— Your most embarrassing moment:
The first day we entered Egypt I forgot my aunt’s PC at the airport and before we got into the taxi my mother asked “where’s the PC?” and I swore that she had it… We got back in and security guards told us that I was the one who left the PC on the table.

— Who is someone you admire and why?
Well, I admire a lot of people, but right now if I had to choose one person, it would be David Bowie. I admire his unique artistic presence and intelligence. I find the way he expressed himself through his different personas very interesting and even relatable in a way.

— What are three interesting facts about you?
1. I’m interested in character design and concept art for video games.
2. I have a soft spot for 60s, 70s, 80s rock.
3. I have the “ability” to fall asleep anywhere at any time :P

— How did you become a model?
It was quite random because I never had the idea of becoming a model. So one day, as I was walking on the sidewalk, minding my own business, my mother agent (Dian) stopped me, gave me his card and told me to call him if I’m interested. I was not going to call, to be honest, but a close friend of mine managed to convince me and the rest is history… :)

— Who is your favorite entertainer?
One of my favorite entertainers is Eddie Murphy, I really admire his spontaneity and ability to adapt himself in different situations like dancing, singing, acting in comedy or other genres of movies. By the way, that’s what life requires of us, to be flexible. In other words, to be like water, as the great Bruce Lee said once.

Besides modeling, I study architecture and urbanism at college

— Who is someone you admire and why?
My father, he’s such a kind person, through his actions and words taught me that respect and education are priceless values and in life, we have to work with faith and humility to get what we want.

— The most interesting thing about your family?
I am born and raised in Sweden with a Swedish mother and a father who is half British and half Guyanese.  My grandmother is from British Guyana, a small country next to Venezuela, Brazil, and Suriname. It is known for having one of the most unexplored rainforests in the world. It would be a dream come true to visit Guyana at least once in my lifetime. Both to explore the fantastic nature and culture, but also to get to know my heritage.

— One thing people may be surprised to find out about you?
Maybe that I love to winter bath. Last winter, I went to this crazy beautiful forest where there was a small sauna next to a river. A friend had to break the ice with an oar so that we could take a dip. It was such an amazing experience!

— An issue or cause you are passionate about?
I feel strongly that all humans should feel free and confident in their bodies, no matter their size. Like somebody said, “If you build a strong mindset, the body will follow”. Of course, it is not always easy, but we have to help each other by being kind.

— What are three interesting facts about you:
1. I love to stay in touch with new people and to give them a special feeling. I find something interesting in almost every person.
2. I feel best when I am independent from society. That’s why I love to do things by myself with my hands, why I spend a lot of time in nature, why I laugh with strangers and why sometimes, I just start to dance on the streets.
3. I am a very free and wild person with a mind of my own.

— One thing people may be surprised to find out about you:
My great passion is dance, music, and theater. I am just fascinated by the movements and the expression of feelings through different art forms. In these worlds, I can express myself completely free.

— The most interesting thing about your family:
My father is an artist in the field of painting and sculpture and my mother is a craftswoman in the field of industrial design. Through this background, I have sharpened my eye for aesthetics and developed a very open view of the world. My father was born in Brazzaville, Congo, as well as my half-sister and many other family members who still live there. Given my family history, I grew up with a second culture that is completely different from the one in Germany, which is why I have the opportunity to see the world from two angles.
