I was born in Gisborne, and raised in Auckland, New Zealand

What’s the most typically NZ thing about you?
I’m lucky enough to have a bach in Kinloch, Taupo. It’s such a beautiful place where I can swim and waterski in the lake.

Probably “bro

What do you think New Zealand does best?
Sports

What is your favourite thing that is made in NZ?
I believe we have a massive amount of talented artists; in both music and in the field of visual arts. It’s so exciting to me to watch these people flourish and witness their successes. So many New Zealand ‘creatives’, as such, have an amazing future ahead of them.

Where are you from?
Auckland city, baby!

What’s the most typically NZ thing about you?
Probably being a sea baby. Growing up by the ocean has given me an undying love for the beach.

Your favourite NZ word or phrase?
Skuxx. It means to be a player.

What do you think New Zealand does best?
Individuality. Being such a small island at the bottom of the world Aoteroa has become an eclectic mix of cultures and trends picked up from almost all corners of the globe. Because of this, the individuals and creatives that my little country pumps out are unmatchable to any in the world.

What is your favourite thing that is made in NZ?
Manuka honey and Whittaker’s chocolate. Can’t go wrong.

I am originally from Cape Town in South Africa, but was raised in Auckland, New Zealand.

Probably my accent, and the way that I talk.

Maybe “bro” or “yo“.

Rugby.

What is your favourite thing that is made in NZ?

I live in Auckland, New Zealand

What’s the most typically NZ thing about you?
Not sure if this is “typical NZ” but Maori is my first language which is the indigenous language of NZ. So exotic, I know.

Your favourite NZ word or phrase?
Yeah nah yeah nah yeah nah. I use this expression to answer a question without actually answering the question. I have commitment issues.

What do you think New Zealand does best?
Anticonformism… is that a word? Here you have the ability to be 100% who you are, you can live your most unfiltered and boujee life and everyone is really cool about it. Individuality is celebrated and it’s amazing.

What is your favourite thing that is made in NZ?
It’s a real toss up between Ernest Rutherford and myself.

My love of spending my time at the beach with my friends.

My overuse of the phrase “sweet as“.

Your favourite NZ word or phrase?
Again: “Sweet as” – occasionally adding dude or bro on the end.

What do you think New Zealand does best?
I think for such a small country we excel at rugby and our fashion industry is incredible, there are so many established designers like Kate Sylvester and other emerging ones who just make amazing clothes. We also do coffee the best in my humble opinion – and I will be very sad when I can’t get my hands on a good flat white in America.

What is your favourite thing that is made in NZ?
Whittaker’s chocolate.
