My grandmother is a painter. She can draw Chinese painting. And I’m the only child in my family.

— One thing people may be surprised to find out about you?

I have trained for over 3 years to be a Japanese Sushi chef. People will find out I genuinely love Japanese cuisine and to share my cooking experience with friends and family, which is a big plus because most people adore sushi!

— What is an issue or cause you are passionate about?

One thing that I’m very passionate about is the ocean. From its coral reefs to the darkest depths, to the most diverse biological habitats on the planet, it’s endlessly fascinating. That is why I’m going to be a marine biologist and help protect and clean the ocean.

— What are three interesting facts about you?

What are three interesting facts about you?   1. I have a pet ferret, her name is Phurry (pronounced ff-ur-y).   2. I did gymnastics for 8 years.   3. I graduated high school with Science Honors.
