Anastasia “Nastya” Shamanina , 181 cm / 5’11.5″, Russian, born October 13th.

We Asked:

— How and when did you become a model?

When I was 15, it became clear that I looked like my mother. It’s genetically so that I’m tall, with long arms and thin slender legs. Mom is connected with the sphere of beauty and creativity, she is an artist, she saw in me the makings of a model and invited me to go to the model agency KNmodels in Nizhny Novgorod.

— What are your interests/favorite things?

I was engaged in swimming “Water Polo” and now at any opportunity I try to go to the pool. I like drawing and very fond of pets.

— What’s the most interesting thing about your family? Do you have siblings?

I am the only daughter of my parents. My mother is an artist, and my father is a fitter – a union of creativity and solidity.

We Asked:

— What are the best and worst aspects of your personality?

I think this could be a good aspect or a bad aspect for me: I take every shot very seriously, and if the photographer is disappointed, I feel guilty. I really want to do well.

— What’s the most interesting thing about your family?

My father and my grandfather are really good at calligraphy, however, they are both bald, I think it’s probably the curse of our family, so I refuse to learn calligraphy.

— What is one thing people may be surprised to find out about you?

I major in Latin dance. I think dance helps me a lot when I am shooting.
