Karin Verkerk, 179 cm / 5’10.5″, Dutch, born September 28th.

Why:

Looking like she sprang straight from a Vermeer portrait, Karin from Monnickendam has a quiet but captivating beauty. With a little experience working overseas (she was in Barcelona in April), the next move for Karin will likely be Milan.

We Asked:

What do you like about modeling?

“What I really like about modeling is that every shoot is different. Every photographer wants something different. The clothes, hair and makeup differs every shoot. Sometimes everything is colorful and sometimes it is casual. I love clothes and makeup and I am so glad that I have the opportunity to wear special and beautiful clothes and makeup.”

What have you learned since you started modelling?
“It is really important that you believe in yourself. If you don’t feel comfortable while in a shoot, you notice that in the photos. If you compare the photos of my first shoot with my last you can see that I have made a huge progress this year. And that has given me a lot more confidence!”

How and when did you become a model?
“Last year in March I was scouted by Innocence while I was shopping. I wanted to give it a try and a few weeks later I got my first test shoot!”
