Why:
Marvellous Maxwell hails from Accra, Ghana, though spends most of his time in Cape Town, South Africa, modelling for local clients. But now his incredible bone structure and intensity have begun to be noticed internationally, with major agencies keen to sign him to their boards.

What is one thing people may be surprised to find out about you?
“One thing people would be surprised to know about me is that I wake up at 2am every day without an alarm to meditate.”
How and when did you become a model?
“My career took off in 2014. Before then I worked as a barista in a coffee shop in Accra… I never had dreams of modelling, all I wanted to be was a meteorologist. On a daily basis customers that came into the coffee shop thought I would be a great model. I thought I wasn’t ready until one French guy became angry at me still working at the coffee shop and not modelling… he asked me, ‘Don’t you want to make a living?'”
What’s the most difficult thing you have ever done?
“The most difficult thing I ever did was working 12 hours a day, 7 days a week back at the coffee shop. But I’m not complaining, working hard is part of me. No pain, no gain!”
