Mame Soukeyna Edwin Camara, 180 cm / 5’11”, Senegalese, born September 9th.
Why:
Pursuing a passion for fashion, Edwin left her hometown of Dakar, Senegal, for Milan, Italy, where she was quickly signed by d’management. It’s a risk that seems to have paid off, with work for Miu Miu and County of Milan already forthcoming.
We Asked:
How and when did you become a model?
“Firstly, I am from Senegal and there I was a ‘model’ but it’s not the same. I couldn’t come to Europe to do what I liked (modelling) because I was at school. But when I got my degree I decided to come here WITH a hope to find an agency and realize my dreams. It was hard but I FOUND one (D’management ❤️). I was in Milan looking for agency when I passed by D’management and decided to visit without appointment. And like that I signed with them and started to work.”
What’s the most interesting thing about your family? Do you have siblings?
“My mom had 7 kids; 3 girls and 4 boys. I am the youngest girl and the last are twin boys. I love my family, we are united, and my siblings are very CRAZY SOMETIMES ?. They always support me.”
What are your interests/favorite things?
“Drawing, SURF, and traveling, discovering new places.”
