— What are 3 interesting facts about you?
1. I have dedicated my entire life to art. I studied a higher vocational degree in artistic ceramics in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and nowadays I occasionally teach intensive workshops at a studio in the capital.
2. I am currently studying Fine Arts at the University of San Cristóbal de La Laguna, with the goal of becoming an interdisciplinary artist.
3. I have been dancing for as long as I can remember; I spent six years of my life practicing rhythmic gymnastics, and today I do pole dance and aerial hoop as a hobby.
— What’s a story your family/friends like to tell about you?
My father always loves to tell people that since I was little, I’ve been very cheeky and bold. I was born in Cuba, and at that time, children had the freedom and security to be out in the streets, doing whatever we wanted in our neighborhoods, knowing we were protected and looked after by everyone. My father always laughs as he tells the story that when I was five years old, if I didn’t like the food at home, I would sneak out wearing flip-flops and diapers and go to my aunt’s house without any fear, walking through the whole neighborhood. I would sit at her table with my best innocent face and lie, saying there was no food at home, just so they would give me something I liked better.
— What’s one non-physical thing you’d like to change about yourself?
I think I’d like to live with more calm and not always be chasing a purpose, to allow myself to rest and simply look around, connecting consciously with what surrounds me. To stop wishing time would pass faster, because the only thing you achieve by doing that is losing it.

— One thing people may be surprised to find out about you:
People are often surprised to notice that I have different eye colors, which is especially visible in the sun. One of my eyes has a yellowish tone
— How did you become a model?
I never planned to become a model. I had been approached on the street before, but I always said no. Three years later, my current agent found my Instagram and asked my friend to tell me to open my direct messages. We started talking, and for some reason, at that moment, I didn’t overthink anything; I just decided to try.
— What are 3 interesting facts about you?
1. I’m left-handed.
2. I practiced dance for about four years, until I realized volleyball is my true love.
3. Snakes and frogs? No thanks. Dogs? My absolute love.

— What’s one non-physical thing you’d like to change about yourself?
I want to be more in the moment and content with how things are going now, rather than always thinking about the future. I also want to follow my gut when making decisions more often.
— What are 3 interesting facts about you?
1. I raised and had a pet hedgehog named Sledge in middle school.
2. I placed first in my state for research in Electrical Engineering in my junior year of high school.
3. I solo-traveled/backpacked through western Europe and part of North Africa while finishing my senior year of high school online.
— How did you become a model?
When I was 15, I did a family photo shoot with my mom and sister, and the photographer posted the photos online. They ended up getting some attention, including from a few modeling agencies, which led me to apply. After that, I realized there were a lot of opportunities in modeling that I wanted to explore.

— What’s a story your family/friends like to tell about you?
I guess I was a bit of a diva as a child, so their favorite story to tell is how I used to force my aunts and uncles to chase down the ice cream truck if I missed it. They’d rush with me in the stroller after the Mr. Softee truck like it was an emergency. They even have photo evidence of me doing this multiple times, just for me to fall asleep afterward with the ice cream spoon still in my mouth, and it melting everywhere.
— The most interesting thing about your family:
When my little sister was around two, she was diagnosed with kidney disease, which was terrifying for all of us. She became a Make-A-Wish kid, and they took our whole family to Disney World, which is a memory we’ll never forget. Soon after, she had a successful kidney transplant, and she’s 12 now and doing great. It was a really rough time, but we also made so many beautiful memories, and we feel incredibly blessed that she’s doing well now.
— An issue or cause you are passionate about:
I’m passionate about the Black maternal health crisis in America. Black women are far more likely to die in childbirth, and learning that in my nonprofit class at Georgia State University honestly changed me. I’ve been obsessed with the idea of starting a nonprofit to help the cause ever since. It radicalized me.

— How did you become a model?
I was hanging out with a friend in a nice bar when someone from my now mother agency came up to me. That person told me that I looked like a model (something I had heard before), which I said thank you to, thinking little of it. They then told me they worked for an agency and gave me their contact information. After some research of my own, I reached out.
— What are 3 interesting facts about you?
1. I was born in Ethiopia and lived there for many years.
2. I am adopted.
3. I enjoy reading philosophy from authors like Plato and Rousseau.
— Can you tell us about your happiest childhood memory?
One of my happiest childhood memories is taking my little brother to Central Park from our old apartment on 116th St on a beautiful Saturday morning during early summer.

— One thing people may be surprised to find out about you:
I studied fashion design and tailoring, and I make clothes for myself from time to time.
— What’s one non-physical thing you’d like to change about yourself?
I would change my name memory. You could tell me your name, and I wouldn’t remember it 10 seconds later, but on the other hand, I will never forget a face.
— What’s a favorite book/movie/TV show, and why do you love it?
Definitely the Lord of the Rings books and movies. I love them for the vast lore of that world and the characters in it. It is also a fantasy world that has resonated with me the most.
