— How did you become a model?
I was 15 years old when I took the initiative and sent an Instagram message to a booker and scouter in my hometown, along with a “hello”, my height, age, and basic photos. Then he told me to make an in-person visit to the agency, and from there, I knew I was approved, and things started to unfold.

Where:
Space Model Management (The Netherlands – mother agency), Women Management Paris, Women Management Milan, Blow Models (Barcelona), Munich Models, Fashion Cult Models (Athens)

— Tell us about your hometown.
I live in a village called Uden in the Netherlands. The best thing about Uden is that everyone knows each other and it’s always amazing to go to the centre and see everyone again. Everyone is very open and always ready for a chat. The absolute worst thing is that there is no train station. If you want to go to a different city you have got to take the bus for at least an hour and after you can take the train…

— What are three interesting facts about you?
Three interesting facts… I think, for starters, I did gymnastics on a horse my whole life. It’s called vaulting, and not very many people know about this sport. The second fact is that I am very shy, but when there is a camera pointed at me, all of that goes away. And fact number three is that I love to write everything down. For example, when I get back from vacation, I write everything in my little book, and I love to read it every once in a while to bring back happy memories.

— How did you become a model?
I got scouted when I was 12 on the streets in Amsterdam. It was something I never thought of, and all of a sudden, it all became reality. I didn’t do much with it till and didn’t really think about it for 6 years. When COVID-19 started, I wanted to buy a horse because that had always been my dream, and suddenly, I thought about modeling again so I would have some money to buy my dream horse. I got scouted by Space Models in the supermarket in my village, and that’s when it all fell into place, and I started modeling.

Taylor

Who:
Taylor McArthur-Scott (@taylor_mscott) — 177 cm / 5’9.5″ — Scottish from Auchterarder, Scotland — born December 3rd — she/her.

Where:
Model Team (Glasgow – mother agency), The MiLK Collective (London)

— Who is your favorite entertainer?
Now, it’s probably Jeff Buckley, but I also love the band Death Cab for Cutie because my mum used to play them in the car when I was younger, and their music always reminds me of that when I hear it now.

— The most interesting thing about your family:
My Grandad is 100% the most interesting thing about my family. He is the blueprint for the eccentric, eclectic Grampa before it was a trend. One time, he made his own board game that had characters from our family, along with the houses we’d lived in as game pieces – It still gets brought out at Christmas time when everyone’s at home.

— An issue or cause you are passionate about:
Highlighting how important the arts are for our future. We’re always going to need writers, artists, performers, and designers, but they’re often underfunded and overlooked. The talented people I’ve met through university and through modeling have made me care about this even more – they all have very exciting ideas for what they could create in the future.
