— An issue or cause you are passionate about:
Social justice. You know how in school when the teacher yelled at you for talking but you weren’t even talking? That always got me so frustrated ‘cause I was so angry. There’s nothing I hate more than unfair treatment or people being accused of something they didn’t do. So I’d say I’ve always had a distinct sense of social justice and as I got older I was able to articulate it more and more with my political beliefs. It’s still a constant learning process and it’s all of our jobs to stay educated about current affairs. Don’t rely on other people to inform you—take matters into your own hands. So for me, ONE issue I am passionate about is to stand up for the ongoing fight against police brutality and the way people of color are still to this day treated. These are things we should not endure but actively as a society need to come together and take a stance against them.

— How and when did you become a model?
My mom’s a photographer so posing in front of the camera was always came kinda “naturally” to me. But in the end, it really was a coincidence that I started modeling professionally. I met my wonderful mother agent Ruhama through a friend and it really was the best thing that happened to me.

— What is something you wish you knew more about?
I wish I knew more about the human psyche and how the brain works. I’m very interested in criminology and psychology. That’s just a topic I could spend my whole day reading books about and watching documentaries. I actually wish I knew more about everything. I feel like your knowledge thirst can never be satisfied.

— Who is someone you look up to and why?
Messi is a person that I admire. I think that despite being who he is, he never loses his humility and I value that very much.

— The best and worst aspects of your personality:
I am a very smiley person and have a very contagious smile. I love that about myself. Sometimes I make bad decisions because I get carried away but it is something that I am improving on.

— Among your friends or family, what are you famous for?
They are very proud of me since—apart from dedicating myself to fashion—I am starting to create music, I do freestyle and I play soccer on a great team. So I am recognized by my acquaintances for the fact of doing so many activities and not clashing in any of them.

— Who is someone you admire and why?
My mom is someone I admire, every time I think about how hard I’m working or if I’m not working hard enough my mom always motivates me. She’s the hardest working person I know as well as the strongest and what I strive to become someday. So, shout out to my mom for holding it down for me and my two younger brothers.

— How and when did you become a model?
I became a model the year before last.  I had been interested in modeling for a couple of years but never took digitals to send into agencies.  My mom saw an article in the paper saying Elite Toronto was doing an open call in Niagara Falls so I went and ended up being signed a week later.  I started into my modeling career and then Covid hit so it has been on pause for a while.  I am excited to be getting back into it now!

— What is something you wish you knew more about?
Something I have always wanted to know more about is investing in the stock market.  I recently started investing in stocks but feel you can always learn more and I think it is a great way to invest your money.

— One thing people may be surprised to find out about you:
I think it would be that I’m a very explosive and spontaneous person when I enter into total confidence, at first, when I meet someone I’m a little shy, but later I can be someone completely different because of my fun personality. They are two facets that are part of me, so when people know both they are a bit surprised.

— Your most embarrassing moment:
I have many embarrassing experiences to tell because I’m a bit clumsy and distracted, but the last one that happened to me was when I left the microphone on in my Portuguese class on Zoom. Obviously, without knowing that they could hear me, I started to sing and say many things out loud, until I realized that my classmates were laughing. I laughed a lot that day but I also wanted to hide under my bed because of the shame it caused me…

— Who is your favorite entertainer?
I would definitely say Laura Pausini, I grew up listening to her music because my mom is also a big fan. I currently admire her very much for all that she has achieved throughout her career, and also for her cute personality.
