— The most interesting thing about your family?
My dad is a pretty ‘famous’ hairdresser and my parents own, in my opinion, the most beautiful hair salon in the world. I also have a 2 year older brother who I love.

— An issue or cause you are passionate about:
My family and I are really supportive of neglected animals. Actually, my mom even adopted one from Spain, a dog named Eros.

— How and when did you become a model?
I work at my local skate shop in Zwolle called Sparky, and for their Instagram, our boss took pictures of us wearing the clothes. It became a habit that they always asked me to model the clothes because they thought I was best to just stand in front of the camera. After a year (or maybe even longer) of telling me to start modeling, I started doing e-commerce for a webshop called Freshcotton. Those were my first official shoots. Not long after a photographer, and now a good friend of mine, named Rogier Alexander asked me to take some photos together and look for an agency. After my first shoot with him, I really started to like modeling. He introduced me to Matthijs and our connection felt good right away. After signing with Matt my modeling career really started.

2. I love to hang drawings by children on my wall and pictures of people I don’t know but I think the picture is great (you’ll find them at flea markets or in attics).

3. I can juggle.

— The most interesting thing about your family?
I grew up in a very close family which is basically four generations of women and very dear to me.

— Your most embarrassing moment:
A few years ago somebody parked next to me with his car and honked the horn. It was after school, so I was very tired and I instantly thought it was my father coming to pick me up. But then to my surprise when I hopped in the car, a complete stranger was looking at me deep in the eyes and had a shocked expression. I’ve never got out of a car so fast as I did that day.

2. The only subject I was good at in school was Math. I was very good, for real! I don’t know why, but it was always super easy for me.
3. My hair was straight when I was a kid, then it started to get very voluminous when I was 10 years old, and when I was 13 it started to get the waves, and now it’s like that!

— What is something you wish you knew more about?
I wish I knew more about the human mind! I think it’s fascinating how each one of us has a whole world inside of our minds, and how it creates our own worlds too! It’s amazing!

— How and when did you become a model?
People always told me I should try to be a model cause I’m very tall and skinny. But I remember watching the Victoria’s Secret shows and wishing I was one of them. I would practice the catwalk in front of the mirror. I became a model by the age of 19, contacting my mother agency, Mix Models Agency, and sending pictures of me. They called me so we could meet, and by the next day, I was in!

— How and when did you become a model?
I had a complex that I am too tall for Japan, because many people looked and laughed at me when I was young. I realized that modeling was the best job for me after I saw some tall and beautiful models in the “DIOR” show 4 years ago. Soon after that, I joined Bravo Models. Now I have confidence and hope thanks to this cool job and Bravo!
