Sabrina Fuentes is a New York high schooler who plays bass and sings in a band called Pretty Sick, and spends the rest of her time modelling for clients like Opening Ceremony and Teen Vogue.

Who are you?
I’m from NYC, I’m 16, and I’ve been playing music my whole life. I play in my band Pretty Sick and I also make music by myself.

How did you become a model? Were you into fashion before you started working within the industry?
I’m not sure how I became a model, I just kind of fell into it. I guess it started around 2014-2015 when I was working assisting casting directors. I also have close friends who take pictures of me and our other friends and share them online, which is part of it.

Tell us about your band, Pretty Sick:
I’ve been playing with my bandmates and friends Ella Moore and Eva Kaufman for almost two years now. I would say our sound is grunge-pop? It’s so hard to describe your own music. I’m influenced by sooo many artists. Bjork, Pixies, The Cocteau Twins, and Dionne Warwick to name few.

Playing music definitely made me come out of my shell, I started playing shows when I was 12 and it helped me become a lot more confident and comfortable in my own skin.

Who would you love to work with in the music world?
I love collaborating on music with other people, especially when I’m caught in a rut creatively, it’s so refreshing. It would be a dream to work with Bjork some day.

And in the fashion world?
Collier Schorr.
