— What’s an essential part of your daily routine?
Practising bass guitar is a pretty essential part of my daily routine. I try to get some time in every day, whether that’s learning new songs, working on my technique or just playing stuff I enjoy. It’s a good way to switch off for a bit, and I like being able to notice myself getting better over time.

— Tell us about your hometown.
I’m from Kingston upon Hull, a city in East Yorkshire in the north of England. It’s got quite a unique character, and there’s a lot of history here, especially with its connection to the fishing industry and the docks. One of the best things is that it’s relatively cheap compared to a lot of other cities, and there’s a decent music scene with plenty of independent places about. The downside is that some areas feel a bit run-down, and there isn’t always loads to do compared to bigger cities. Still, it’s got its own identity, and there’s something quite good about living somewhere that doesn’t feel like everywhere else.

— What’s a favourite book/movie/TV show, and why do you love it?
I’d probably have to say Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. I love how well-written they are, especially the way the characters develop and how small decisions can end up changing everything. The writing and cinematography are class, and I like shows that actually make you think about the characters rather than just spoon-feeding you a story. Better Call Saul is especially good for showing how someone ends up becoming the person they are.

— Can you tell us about your happiest childhood memory?
Some of my happiest childhood memories are the holidays I spent with my family in Mongolia, where my mother is from, and at my grandparents’ house in southern Germany. I have especially fond memories of creating little plays and shows with my cousins, writing our own stories and then performing them for the whole family. Those moments were always full of creativity, laughter and togetherness.

— An issue or cause you are passionate about:
An issue I am passionate about is equality, especially feminism. I believe that everyone should have the same rights, opportunities and freedom, regardless of their gender. To me, feminism is not about putting one gender above another, but about questioning expectations and stereotypes. I think it is important to talk openly about these issues because even small things in everyday life can show that inequality still exists and needs to be discussed.

— What’s a favourite book/movie/TV show, and why do you love it?
My favourite book is Nothing Holds Back the Night by Delphine de Vigan. I find the story very fascinating, especially because she gives such a deep and personal insight into her family and her own experiences. I really admire the way she openly deals with such personal and difficult topics and turns them into something so honest and emotional. I also love how she draws the reader into her world and makes you feel connected to the story and her experiences.

— What are 3 interesting facts about you?
1. I’m also a content creator, passionate about personal development, fitness and inspiring others to pursue their ambitions.
2. I’m originally from Colombia and have a strong interest in exploring different cultures and languages, which has made travelling and meeting people from around the world one of my favourite experiences.
3. I’m very passionate about music. Although I’m quite shy about singing, I believe it’s a talent I want to explore and develop.

— One thing people may be surprised to find out about you:
I’m a huge football fan. In fact, becoming a professional football player was once a dream of mine that I never got to pursue, so you could say it’s one of my unfulfilled dreams. I still have a deep passion for the sport.

— The most interesting thing about your family:
The most meaningful thing about my family is that my grandparents raised me and have been like my parents throughout my life. They are the two people I love most in this world and the biggest inspiration behind everything I do. They taught me the value of hard work, resilience and never giving up on my dreams. Everything I strive for is driven by one goal: to give back to the people who gave me everything when I had nothing, and to make sure they get to enjoy the life they deserve. They are my greatest motivation and the reason I want to succeed.
