— What’s a story your family/friends like to tell about you?
My family always jokes about how much of a troublemaker I was as a kid. I was always running around, getting into little accidents, and sometimes they literally had to take me to the hospital! They also love telling me that even as a baby, I was very stubborn. If I wanted something, I made sure everyone knew about it. They always laugh about how different I am now.

— An issue or cause you are passionate about:
The cause I really care about is equality. Especially in India, even though things have changed a lot, I still don’t think we have complete equality. Growing up as a woman, I’ve seen from a young age how men and women are treated differently. Even within families, I still hear a lot of misogynistic comments and expectations, and honestly, it really bothers me. I believe everyone should be treated equally, regardless of their gender. I really hope that one day we can live in a world where equality is normal, because I believe it would make it a much more peaceful place.

— Share a bit about your background and upbringing.
I grew up in a small town in Kerala. I didn’t really have many friends growing up until I was around 15, when I met my first best friend. I was also very insecure about my appearance. I was extremely skinny and very tall, and I was often teased about my height and the way I looked. Those comments really affected my confidence. Getting into modeling completely changed my perspective. I started seeing people who looked like me being considered beautiful and successful, and it helped me realize that the things I was insecure about could actually be the things that make me unique.

— What’s a favorite book/movie/TV show, and why do you love it?
My favorite movie would definitely be Dead Poets Society. It’s a movie I recently came across, and it resonated with parts of me in a way I didn’t expect. The movie mainly shows how important it is to seize the day instead of taking it for granted, to do what you wish, to see what you want, and to have the courage to make your own choices. I think there is something very powerful in that message because it reminds us that time moves forward whether we are ready or not. We should appreciate the moments we have, and not wait too long to say, do, or become the things that matter to us.

— One thing people may be surprised to find out about you:
One thing people may be surprised to find out about me is my interest in theology. I’m fascinated by questions about faith, meaning, and morality, especially those that may never have a definite answer but are still worth thinking deeply about. I enjoy exploring different perspectives and seeing where they lead.

— What’s the scariest thing you’ve ever done?
One memory that immediately comes to mind is the last time I did an escape room with my friends. We all basically agreed that we were tough enough to choose the hardest, most horror-like escape room available: an abandoned laboratory that lasted 90 minutes. Not even five minutes into the escape room, we already needed a clue because we were looking everywhere we shouldn’t. Then, about 30 minutes in, we heard the screaming of a so-called patient in the room next to us! I have never run so fast. I hid under the nearest desk and shoved a chair in front of me. At that point, it was free game for the monster to take my friends; I just needed to survive. All in all, the experience showed me that, when it really comes down to it, I apparently have excellent survival skills.

1. I was born and raised on an island.
2. I have the license to drive motorcycles, big trucks, and pilot boats.
3. I used to do acting when I was younger and would love to retake it.

— What’s a story your family/friends like to tell about you?
My family loves to tell all the stories behind my scars. I used to be a chaotic child, and I would always fall over and have many accidents.

— How did you become a model?
I got scouted through Instagram. My scouter, Alejandro Llovell, texted me explaining everything about my mother agency and how the modeling world works. He then asked me to fly over to visit the team!

Brushing my teeth. I love doing it. If I could, I would brush them for 24h straight.

Probably that I’m not the best singer and I should stop singing while doing dishes and other chores ;)
