I drink 10 coffees a day, and I am still a daydreamer.

— Tell us about your hometown.
My hometown is Wuppertal. The coolest thing in my hometown is the Schwebebahn, a suspension monorail dating from 1901. It’s still in operation, and a lot of people use it to travel around the city. The worst thing is that we do not have a lot of good parties.

— How did you become a model?
I wanted to become a model since I was 9 years old. At the age of 15, I applied to a bunch of agencies, but every agency said I was not in shape. At this time, I struggled with an eating disorder but never gave up. Three years later, I applied to my mother agency, and they supported me from scratch. So, I learned to love myself just the way I am. Now, my dream is even bigger to become a successful model.

I’m from South Portugal. I grew up in Almancil, and the best thing is that it’s a small enough town to chill with friends, and activities like football are nearby. The worst thing is the conflict between locals and foreigners who think they know better than the locals.

My family is very large; my mother is Indonesian, and during Christmas, we all go to dinner with more than 30 people, and everyone makes a little food so that we all eat it.

— How did you become a model?
It was pretty crazy how I became a model. A friend of mine was scouted on the street by an agency. When he told me that, I thought, ‘Maybe it would be fun to come along.’ So I went with him to the city, where they had agreed to meet, and the agency asked if I wanted to take pictures, too. Eventually, I was told I was through, and after a few conversations, I was officially a model.

My favorite show is Peaky Blinders because I like crime series, and I think it has an exciting storyline. There is constant tension in every episode, and I also love the time and setting in which it takes place.

A model scout found me in my college and provided me with the chance to attend the Fendi casting in Shanghai, China. I was confirmed at the last minute for the show. I started to be a model after the show.

I don’t have a favorite book, but I enjoy reading self-development books and fashion magazines!

— One thing people may be surprised to find out about you:
My name is Roksolana, it’s pretty rare in Ukraine and the whole world in general. But it’s known in the western part of Ukraine, where I was born. Whenever I speak with people, they often ask me if this is my real name and if I invented the nickname myself or if I got out of the popular Turkish TV series “Magnificent Century” because there is a Hurrem Sultan called Roksolana who was the wife of Sultan Suleiman. The only person I’ve met in Poland who knew about the name Roksolana is my philosophy/history teacher.
